Today's Blog
Hello everyone who is new to my blog, I am the Miller and today I would like to tell you about the trip to Canterbury. So there we are on our way to Canterbury, all of us were pretty bored, and had nothing really to do, so we decided that we should share some tales with each other. The Knight stared us off with a tale about love which was beautiful and everyone loved and applauded it. After everyone was done basically praising his tale, the Host asked for someone to match the Knights tale, but he ended up insisting that the Monk should tell the next tale. Me being you know, drunk I stopped the Monk before he could say a word, and I offered to tell my tale, because I knew it would be the best to match the Knights tale. However, because I was drunk the Host tried to persuade me to let a “better man” tell the next tale. Once he said that he was going to choose a “better man” I threatened to leave this trip, but anyway the Host saw it my way a let he let me tell my tale. As I start to tell my story which is about a carpenter named John, his wife Alison, and Nickolas a cleric who outwitted the carpenter, and then persuaded the carpenter’s wife to sleep with him. Then the Reeve tried to stop me from telling my tale, but I continued on telling tale like nothing happen. That’s how my day started out on the trip to Canterbury.
