Stu had first found out about Eric a couple of months or so after getting to know Cavs, when he asked about an old photo with tatty edges that Cavs used as a bookmark, and propped up on bedside tables whenever they stayed somewhere for any length of time, of two smiling boys, their arms around each other's shoulders.
