The short haired fish monster looked over towards lizard who was now poking at her side, supposed that’s one way to greet someone you haven’t seen in over a year.
In response to the poking undyne simply rested her webbed hand on alpyhs’s face “That any better doc?” The redhead with a small chuckle.
Undyne’s ear like fins folded back upon hearing Alpyhy’s uneventful year as an offer of comfort the short haired fish monster lightly patted at her head along with a small toothy smile “Hey now, ain’t nothin’ wrong with an uneventful year, least you don’t gotta be bossed around by Mettaton.”
Alphys blushed upon feeling Undyne’s hand upon her head, “H-heh- yeah! I guess so… Though it would be nice if my life h-had more excitement-” Oh boy- She hasn’t seen her crush in a year yet she’s talking about her personal problems? Not a very good way to start this- “B-but putting that aside-! W-would you like to do s-something, maybe? W-with me, I mean- I get if you’re busy, though… S-so it’s only really if you wanted to-”
Undyne thought about Alpyhs’s offer if it were anyone else she’d say that she can’t because of work but surly Mettaton can understand after all this was Alpyhs! someone she hasn’t seen in over a year plus it’d be nice to catch up.
The short haired fish monster gave a toothy smile “I don’t see why the hell not, it would give us time to catch up more besides anything is better than headin’ back home.”
She felt a rush of excitement wash over her upon hearing Undyne actually agree to spend some time together. She’d been thinking of her a lot lately- If she didn’t know any better, she could have called this a dream.
“A-alright ! W-we can go back to my place if you want- It’s not fancy by any means but .. We could be alone, and someplace quiet sounds like the perfect place to catch up- Or we could go- w-we could... Go out to dinner- If you were hungry...” She felt a bit anxious, Undyne hadn’t seen her home in over a year now- And she was sure it was still messy. Alphys had never been one to clean up well... Bringing up having dinner didn’t calm her anxieties either, that sounded like a date thing- Oh boy, she felt like she was screwing this up already.

“Were you not my alternate, I would swear that you were an invertebrate..” The doctor groaned, hands on her hips. “I was attempting to crack a joke, but it seems that went way over your head.” She waved her hand back and forth between the two of them. “You know, since there’s two of us here already…”
“O-oh ! Oh gosh- Wow. Yeah y-yeah that... That really flew over my head. Oh wow.” She felt a deep blush creep upon her cheeks, how could she be so dense? Then again- Jokes had never been her strong suit. Would make sense her Alternate would have a better idea of them. She laughed nervously while rubbing the back of her neck,
“I guess that was rather funny- Thinking back on it ! ” She still couldn’t believe she took that literally... She knew how intelligent she was but sometimes she really felt like an idiot.

Alphys found herself pausing suddenly, something didn’t feel quite… right? Such a strange feeling, a feeling of being watched. Nerves began to creep upon her, knowing full well of someone were there and harmless, they’d have spoken up by now. Then again? She did leave her doors locked- she hadn’t heard anyone come in? Then again her TV-
“Calm down…” she instructed herself aloud, taking a deep breath- she tried to tell herself it was just paranoia. Playing with the hem of her nightgown with a free hand she gently sets the remote onto her coffee table, eyes ever-so-fixed upon the doorway. “You are fine.” She stated matter-of-factly. Though she approached the door with apprehension, slipping through the opening- unlucky for her facing the opposite direction of her intruder.
He pushed her against the wall, an arm pressed into her throat as the palmed bone pricks her cheek. He brought the armed hand back, holding a finger up to his mouth in a “shush” motion. He pulled back, letting the weapon dissolve into aether as he signed, ((Do you understand me?)) He did not know if the scientist had a grasp on hands or not. If she didn’t, this was going to be difficult. Especially since Muffet had eyes everywhere.
Alphys shrieked aloud as her attacker took hold of her, so she wasn’t just being paranoid this time- unfortunately. She gazed down upon him with a look of pure fear, trying to control anymore screams from slipping past her lips. She was told to shush, and he instantly proved to be a threat- though she continued to tremble within his grasp. She would have felt relief upon seeing his weapon vanish had she not been so startled.
“...I-I... Y-y-yes I- I understand y-y-you....” Alphys was... Quite familiar with hands, she would often work with Dr. Gaster and thus she had to learn. She took this opportunity to grasp a better look at him... “..Do I know you? W-Who- who are you-- w-w-what d-do you want w-with me?”
