I really experimented with this and tried different stuff. Even though it’s been a while since I originally made this piece, I’m still happy that I pushed myself for it.

and now for the speech… Elstarot was honestly my biggest breakthrough so far as both an artist and a graphic designer. Composing something good that brought out the meaning of each card was an honest challenge - it was also my first time finishing a group of three people, drawing a huge satellite, and an almost completely back view. There were a few mistakes I wish I couldve corrected, but all in all, I’m really happy with how it all turned out! Designing the logo and deciding the colour scheme of Elsword Tarot was fairy easy, but fitting all 78 card descriptions (about 200+ words each) and 80 full page illustrations into a book that could not be more than 120 pages is a lot harder than one might think. I did manage to do it and it’s unfortunate that it won’t be printed, but those few months of agonizing and fighting everything I’ve learned as a designer became valuable, irreplaceable experience that has only made me stronger. I’m sad about how the project ended, but I got a lot out of the time I put into it and I’m really glad to have been a part of the Elsword Tarot Project.

Hello, thanks for your support! While our project is officially cancelled in the way of physical merchandise, we’re planning to create a Wix site to display all the work from our project.
Hello~ I received an email stating that the project has been taken down (rip), do you think you will use a different platform to sell the cards and stuff? I was really looking forward to it ;-;
We’ve decided not to go through with the idea of using a different platform. We’re incredibly sorry for the disappointment.
So,what now? All these artists put so much work into the project, I feel bad for what had happened--
We’re planning to create a Wix site featuring all the work and progress from this project. Through the Wix site, you’ll be able to view all the illustrations and assets from our project so far. We agree, all of our artists have had an incredible amount of dedication and stuck with us through so much despite our inexperience. We feel terrible as well.
How is the standoff going so far? How are you mods doing? I hope it's going well.
Even almost two months later, we’ve failed to receive a response. Things are relatively bleak, and so we’ve decided to cancel our project. We’ve tried numerous times to communicate with KoG in any way possible (we’ve even tried calling the number provided on the copyright strike, only to find it was out of service), but all of our attempts have been in vain.
We’re holding up! While it is incredibly disheartening to find all of our work won’t be able to be printed as we would like, this experience was incredibly humbling and we’d like to believe we’ve learned a lot and grown as people. Thank you for your concern!
hello! is there any update on what's happening with the project? i got an email that the dispute period was over and the kickstarter was cancelled, but do you know when it will be moved to another site (if it still will) ?
We’re incredibly sorry for our late response! What with handling other things, it slipped our mind to check our Tumblr. It’s entirely our fault, and we apologize.
It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the cancellation of the Elsword Tarot Project. Not only was our Kickstarter formally suspended, still, months later, we’ve received no response from KoG. Some of our artists have chosen to rescind their work from our project (fully within their rights, and we don’t blame them; if anything, we’re grateful that so many have stuck around) and we are reluctant to go forward with something as shaky as another platform, especially with things as they stand now.
We’re incredibly sorry again for our lack of communication! Kickstarter did tell us we still had the option to message backers, but for some reason, it doesn’t seem to be working.
ah... what will happen to the tier rewards?
If you mean the stretch goals, we’ll do our best to keep those intact through just keeping track of sales as they tick forward. Unlike Kickstarter, how much we’ve made will be private, so it’s a bit less exciting than seeing the numbers tick up in real time.
If you mean the bundles available for purchase, they’ll stay the same.
if the orders have to be moved, what will happen with those who were to recieve the early bird charms? will you take a list of those who had them somehow or will it be a tossup? i managed to get one but if it becomes a freeforall again im not sure ill be lucky again, though it's utimately up to how things play out
What our tentative plan is is to ask those who know they’re in the first 50 to note down their name on Kickstarter in the notes when purchasing. This way, we can ensure you get your original early bird charm. For guest purchasers, we’re not quite sure what route to take yet as we don’t know if guests can access what guest number they are. If they can, we’ll ask them to note that down, but if they can’t, we’ll likely try to communicate through Kickstarter.
We’ll likely have another earlybird special for Tictail as well, which we’ll provide for all of our Kickstarter backers as compensation.
If KoG never responds, or takes a longer time to respond, are you considering of shutting the kickstarter down or maybe moving it somewhere else?
Yes, we'll likely be moving to Tictail or some other type of online storefront, so we can at least get some product out.
