I know you must get this a lot but I really really love the way you do shinies! Every fakemon you've made has had a shiny that looks obviously different and isn't a mash of colors that look bad

which pokemon did you intentionally make look related?
There’s a good few of them I made to look intentionally related or take ques from other Pokemon as an intentional callback. I tried to pull them together and there’s quite a few so I guess I’ll just plunk’em here.
This list is more for noticeable visual links so I won’t include Regional Variants, all the Pikas, or every Pokemon that is a frog, cat, dog, etc. because that would be obvious that they would be related to some extent. This only being relevant to be Redesign Project obviously.
Pokemon Relatives
Tauros - Miltank - Bouffalant
Visual Ques
- the Voltorb line shares similarities with the Pikas and Ditto
- Masquerain uses defensive mimicry to resemble a Gyarados
- Corsola and Galarian Corsola share a few of similarities with the Ponyta and Galarian Ponyta line through very extreme parallel evolution
- the Rhyhorn line (though more ceratopsian) and the Roggenrola line both share very ancient ancestral ties back to Regirock
- Vullaby is wearing the skull of a Krokorok and Madibuzz is wearing the skull and spine of a Bouffalant
- the Binacle line and Doduo line share a lot of similarities through very extreme parallel evolution
- the Clauncher line uses defensive mimicry to resemble the Carvanha line
- the figurehead on Dhelmise’s ship is carved to look like a Rapidash
- Poipole is reminiscent to an alternate-reality Charmander
- Nickit collects Rookidee feathers and the arrow Thievul has stolen is made from Corviknight feathers
- Gigantamax Appletun has a mural featuring Rayquaza along their shell
- Galarian Linoone and Obstagoon wear wrappings made from the bark of a Trevenant
- connected through light, the Charcadet line channels the energy of Solgaleo and Lunala depending on their evolution
- the Tinkatink line’s hammers are made from the Pawniard line, each stage adding metal taken from the next evolution. Their armour is made from Corviknight metal, and Tinkaton’s hammer is meant to look like a Drednaw
- Iron Hands takes ques from both Hariyama and Snorlax, since the two are related in my redesign series

- Each Eeveelution has taken some influence from a Legendary Pokemon

- Type: Null is made from an amalgam of other Pokemon parts
Wolf Knights
- the Clobbopus Line, the Galarian Meowth Line, Sirfetch’d, the Galarian Mr. Mime Line, and Falinks all have wolf iconography to show allegiance to Zacian and Zamazenta
Tera Jewels
- the Fire Type Tera Jewel’s horns are meant to evoke Volcarona
- the Water Type Tera Jewel’s fin-like crest meant to evoke Gyarados/Milotic (who are also related)
- the Electric Type Tera Jewel’s horn is meant to evoke Blitzle
- the Bug Type Tera Jewel’s horn and antenna is meant to evoke Heracross
- the Ghost Type Tera Jewel’s skull is meant to evoke Marowak (both original and Alolan) and the Lavender Town Ghost
- the Steel Type Tera Jewel’s oxidized colouration and bells are meant to evoke Bronzong
- the Stellar Type Tera Jewel is meant to evokes Terapagos‘ globe
Ogerpon
- Each of Ogerpon’s masks are meant to be an artistic and abstract representation of Pokemon that live in Kitakami:
- the Teal Mask is inspired by a Shiftry and their relationship with tengu
- the Wellspring Mask is inspired by Milotic
- the Cornerstone Mask is inspired by Lycanroc, both Midday and Midnight

What are the factors of you not liking big-headed designs and why? (as shown in Heliolisk, Fennekin, Froakie, etc)
I actually do like them! It's just while redesigning them, I didn't feel like the overly-large cartoony heads fit my art style. I would also say my art style is pretty cartoony, but I tend to exaggerate different features to different extents. I don't dislike the original designs at all.

Its been a long while and I thank you all for your patience as we go through Scarlet and Violet!
I started Paldea last March so its somewhat fitting we wrap things up this March. I appreciate everyone who's come along for the ride! The fact that there's people who've been following my work this whole time blows my mind honestly. I know my designs can weird and wacky, but it makes me happy that people still wanna see them, even 1000+ Pokemon in.
Excited to see what Pokemon Z-A and other entries will bring our way! Uploads are probably gonna slow down a bit. I'm always toiling on something in the background so hopefully I can show you guys some of that soon.
