Eyyy so four years ago today, I posted the first three chapters of my story on AO3, having seen an unfinished comic and gotten permission from the artist to write a fic using her premise. This here is the first piece of Songfell art ever, commission from the OG comic creator, @lostmypotatoes 👌

So! I am not posting any new content for the moment. My mom has been having health problems, including me having to help take her to the ER (she's fine, just needs to stay in bed for a while), which delays actual writings a bit. Surprise, it's Frisk's second dress from the big ol' party in the Underground, commissioned from the one and only @melikitinas (yes, the same Melikas who did the stunning Sooner or Later comics). With this, I now have all four outfits mwa ha ha (will collect them on Songfell's anniversary with a whole bunch of other art...that's gonna be a big ol' post yessirree)

The movie Twister came out at a very impressionable age for me I guess lol, and I lived in the Midwest so tornadoes were a pretty common thing, and I honestly looooved weather and meteorology. I did a very cool report on lightning in fourth grade if I do say so myself, and it’s been a dream of mine to see ball lightning ever since! 🌩️

I was one of those kids that changed their mind of what they wanted to be every other day or so, so I can't remember what exactly it was I wanted to do at first, but the first I can clearly remember is a figure skater. I, uh, don't actually know how to ice skate in reality, but I think it must have been a winter Olympics year since my mom loved watching the figure skating and I would watch it with her.

Fun story, only tangentially related to this, while I truly didn't stumble onto the idea of wanting to be a novelist until very late in high school, when I was in the second grade, my class got assigned homework where we had to come up with an original story, illustrate it in a little book, and then present it to the class. I was one of the four or five kids who story was considered "good" enough that they let me present it to the *other* second grade class, which I thought was great fun. (Funny considering how much I HATE public speaking as I grew up and still do.)

It only changed once and briefly, around when i was 8 when I got "winx fashion" journals where you could color outfits, and I thought I was doing so well I could be a designer. It was before I even considered being an artist, but yeah, I think I went back to wanting to make video games not even a year later

Uhhh one of my oldest memories is of dictating stories about Strawberry Shortcake for my mom to write down, and now I’m a basically functional adult because I’m good at writing, so that worked out

The career I actively wanted the most was to be a mermaid, but no combination of prayers and tossing coins into various bits of water ever worked. >:(

Lastly, my daughter (as a toddler) once told us, very earnestly, “When I grow up, I want to be a coworker.”

I know I have a tendency to make noises about the next bit being almost done totally for real (THREE MONTHS LATER) but for real, I’m so hyped to get back to the humans and start those shenanigans
