PSA, there's a really nasty Discord scam going around rn. If one of your friends DMs you, starting off with a simple "hello" "how are you", may even joke around a little, and then starts asking you to look at a game/project they're working on, don't click the link, don't download anything. If you can reach that friend through non-Discord means, reach out and let them know they got hacked.

One of my friends said the link takes them to a very convincing video game page that has in-game screenshots and stuff, and then gives you an option to download a playtest zip file or something. That download exploits a weakness Discord apparently has for password protected zip files and steals your Discord log-in and changes your account info to the scammer's account info. Two of my friends lost their accounts. Be careful.

Slight adjustment to this... Apparently the virus scrapes all your passwords and files on your computer, not just Discord... It just uses Discord to gain access... Friend had a picture of his license saved on his computer, and apparently the scammers even got their hands on that... So it's a nasty little hack...

You know what kills me?

TSA allows you to travel with lightsabers. Their rules recognize their existence, especially the Disney ones, and they have deemed them a non-threat...

But instead of being able to take that rule for what it is, I'm currently jumping through hoops to contact the different airports' TSAs I'll be going through for saber competition stuff and ask what their policies are just to... gauge how aware they are of their own rules... Because if you get stuck with an airport that doesn't know the rules, and you get a really power-trippy agent... You could get royally fucked over...

Which is stupid, that this is a factor I have to deal with figuring out how to travel with my lightsaber...

you ever accidentally create a recurring theme in your writing. you start putting together an outline for something you’ve never written before and get partway through planning, rearrange the pieces, and go “GODDAMMIT THIS IS ABOUT GRIEF AGAIN”? because let me tell you,

I love being a woman in a combat sport. It's fun because all of the protection and padding available is for men, and the stuff for women is super limited and the sizing charts are awful. Oh, and all of it is sized for C cups and smaller... Almost nothing above that... And what is above that is twice as expensive and/or custom-made.

It's so fun.
