- Magnus would be the one to get him into it
- like papa like son, and it’s no secret Raphael admires Magnus
- tho he probably wouldn’t admit it to his face?
- he invests in moisturizers and a face mask is part of his daily routine before going to bed
- yes, he sleeps in a huge bed with a ton of multi-sized pillows
- he also likes masks for his hands
- his clan loves him and he’s not worried about anyone judging him for make up, he has their total support in all things
- he does however tone down his looks if he’s expecting Shadowhunter business or a visit from a particularly unfriendly person, say, from another clan?
- he likes rich colors that pop against his dark clothes
- less matt, more shine
- he still listens to Magnus’ tips, even off-hand ones, even if not specifically directed to him
- whether he follows those tips is another matter
- most common thing for him to wear is eyeliner, usually black
- he also takes care of his nails - trimming,. filing and the like
- and a coat of something shiny, he likes the way the light hits the nail just right
- but no flashy colors, not unless privately
- sometimes Magnus will drag him to a salon or just to spend time together, he’ll paint Raphael’s nails a more flashy color
- of course, Raphael spends an unspecified amount of time styling his hair just right
- he will never admit how long exactly
- when all is done, he will decompress in a hot, hot bath, because he secretly relishes the warmth
- after he gets out of the water, there’s the brief time when his skin retains the temperature and he can pretend he’s still alive and not a vampire
- he doesn’t entertain those thoughts often though
