if a mun says 18/21+ ONLY and you are under that age, just be a decent person and don’t follow them until you are of that age. the same goes for if they say not to follow if you don’t have a general age (such as saying you are over 18 or not) listed somewhere on your blog. if its listed in their description or in their rules, why would you not know? did you not read them? roleplay is a reading activity, reading is required, and people end up putting passwords in their rules because of things like this (and passwords themselves are unjustly shamed, they absolutely serve a purpose like weeding out those who DON’T read rules). you don’t get a pass for being a minor. this goes for any country, it doesn’t matter if you live in a country/state with different laws. you are breaking a rule simply by following them. and if you follow first then read the rules just unfollow them, even if it’s awkward or embarrassing. it is better than them finding out you broke one of their rules.  ignorance is not an excuse. read rules. follow rules. its not even an obscure rule, its just as common as “mutuals only” except where you might not remember if this person is your mutual or not , you do know your own age. this is not a conversation about maturity, even if that is a common factor, or smut or nsfw content on blogs, it’s a conversation about respecting boundaries and rules that are clearly listed on someone’s blogs.
