This is the last place Coriolanus thought he would spend his last break before his final and senior year at the Academy. The grand Carnell estate was a sight to behold and the privilege of having a chance to step foot into the home ground of the most distinguished family in Panem is one most could only dream of.

Unlike most of the elite in Panem who lived in penthouses, your family is the rare few who gets to live on an entire estate land belonging to themselves aside from the President.

He didn't expect a simple comment he made about roses would actually grant him this privilege.

The two of you were having a short break at your special spot under the Burning Ash tree before your next class was about to begin. While penning down your study notes, you felt that your hair was starting to get in the way as the wind was picking up.

Grabbing a hair tie from your bag, you gathered your loose hair and tie them into a loose tail. Coryo's eyes were fixated at how you held your hair tie between your lips and wondered since when they looked so lovely. The kind that were looked soft and inviting that he would love to just kiss over and over again.

Once you were done tying your hair, Coryo noticed how your already beautiful features stood out even more. His eyes then went down to the mole that rested halfway on the right side of your neck and wondered if he were to kiss that spot, what kind of reaction would you give him?

Unfortunately, it has be on hiatus for awhile- because reality has called me back. (I’m a preschool teacher btw) But you know what- I always been thinking of the what ifs for my stories and I re-read “save me save you” because of recent notifs I have of people liking it! 🥹

The first time Coriolanus saw you was when you walked into the classroom on a random Wednesday. It was only halfway into his junior year at the academy and he least expected someone would be able to transfer into the prestigious elite Academy at all.

You were definitely not from the Capitol if you were to enroll into school this late.

"Do you think she's like Plinth?" Coriolanus overheard one of the students' hush whispers to another. A likely possibility- the young Snow thought. You must have come from new money- your family must have somewhat made a huge profit and earned the favour of the Capitol to be able to let their daughter enter the Academy.

Your dark and sleek long hair contrasted with the bright red and blue of the Academy's uniform. Despite the dark colour of your eyes, it shoned brightly with a type of confidence as you took your time to scan the entire class and made sure to stare right into each and one of the students who casting dubious glances at you.

It has been well almost two weeks since you moved in and while you have settled into the living quarters at the Sanctum, you have yet to feel at ease staying in Stephen’s room.

After yourselves in each other’s arms the following morning, the two of you agreed to place boundaries with the help of a long pillow. The two of you managed to keep yourselves to each other’s side of the bed, making it less awkward when you woke up in the morning.

Although every now and then, there were embarrassing situations that happened between the two of you while rooming together.

The prominent one being walking into each other while in the bathroom when not expecting the other. You two have definitely seen more of each other (albeit on accident) than the entire time of knowing each other.

You were embarrassed to admit the number of times your mind wandered to the time you came back to your shared room from grabbing water in the kitchen one night.

You believed your jaws never dropped harder to the floor when you saw Stephen coming out of the steaming bathroom- shirtless with only a towel hanging low on his waist. Your eyes were focused on each bead of water (which dripped from his wet hair) making their way down his toned chest and abs. Stephen caught you staring and while he was initially surprised, his mouth morphed into a smirk at your ogling.

The whispers of several Masters and recruits could be heard and all attention was on the affectionate display that they never expected from the all-stoic Doctor Strange.

Stephen and yourself were pulled aside to a more private space in Kamar-Taj as Wong started to reprimand the both of you like teenagers caught red-handed.

Avoiding all eye contact with you, Stephen was looking straight on at Wong (but blatantly ignoring him) while he was reeling back from the adrenaline of what just happened.

Was it all his imagination? Your lips returning the affectionate he thrusted upon you and your warm touch pulling him closer till no space was between the both of you. Stephen stole a quick glance at you while you were standing with your hands held back in a soldier-like posture.

You were no stranger to being at the receiving end of reprimands back from your SHIELD days. It briefly brought you back memories of how you were always told to stick to the mission and not go off course. You improvised way too much and how you wished you could have adhered to Fury’s word of advice- because now what this characteristic of yours have caused you.

You really didn’t expect the turn of events and now a whole lot of people believed you and Stephen were dating- meaning the scale of the mess just got bigger. How were you going to live this down?

Wong was baffled and appalled at what he walked into. The last thing he expected on a Thursday afternoon was to walk into you and Stephen publicly exchanging saliva in front of everyone.

The whispers of several Masters and recruits could be heard and all attention was on the affectionate display that they never expected from the all-stoic Doctor Strange.

Stephen and yourself were pulled aside to a more private space in Kamar-Taj as Wong started to reprimand the both of you like teenagers caught red-handed.

Avoiding all eye contact with you, Stephen was looking straight on at Wong (but blatantly ignoring him) while he was reeling back from the adrenaline of what just happened.

Was it all his imagination? Your lips returning the affectionate he thrusted upon you and your warm touch pulling him closer till no space was between the both of you. Stephen stole a quick glance at you while you were standing with your hands held back in a soldier-like posture.

You were no stranger to being at the receiving end of reprimands back from your SHIELD days. It briefly brought you back memories of how you were always told to stick to the mission and not go off course. You improvised way too much and how you wished you could have adhered to Fury’s word of advice- because now what this characteristic of yours have caused you.

The aftermath of everything that happened was a sheer nightmare. When you promised Sam that you will come back to the matter after he came back from Louisiana, that only settled half the problem.

The other half was trying to deal with Bucky but that surprisingly resolved on its own when Bucky grimly stated that he had things to attend to, which he then made his quick exit out of the Sanctum doors.

Wong left you and Stephen alone, but not before giving you a thumbs and a wish of luck.

Once everyone let the room, you immediately sunk down to the floor and heaved a sigh of relief. You webbed your fingers through you hair to slowly process what the hell just happened. For a moment, you forgot the other presence in the library- one which you were still interlocking fingers with.

Stephen blinked a couple of times as he recalled a flash of what transpired earlier.

“I really like him.”

“He makes me happy.”

The sound of love in your voice as you spoke those words did so much to him that you probably realised. Even though he knew you said what you had to convince Bucky Barnes, he couldn’t help but to feel a sense of happiness at hearing them.
