spring showers

summary: the rain's nice until you're stuck outside because of it

pairing: sugawara koushi x reader

genre: fluff!!

word count: 1.1k

warnings: none

a/n: my first hq fic ^^;; hopefully this isn't too ooc for suga!! thank you to @natszoo and @sugawaaras for beta-ing this for me <33

The pitter-patter of rain starts slowly and you dismiss it as a passing drizzle. But as its pace quickens, you curse yourself and run into a nearby gazebo for refuge. The rain pours and the wind howls, sending shivers throughout your body. A silhouette of a man grows larger as he approaches the shelter, his dark outerwear miserably trying to protect him from the shower. He makes it into the gazebo and flicks off the water from what you now recognise as a leather jacket.

"It's a rainy night downtown, huh?" the man says as he sits down on the bench next to you. Without an umbrella, you realise you're trapped with him here.

"I guess so."

"The name's Suga," he says as he throws his arm behind the bench. He stretches his hand out, smiling as he lets the rain beat onto his skin.

"We're going to be stuck here for a while, aren't we?" Suga continues. You nod as you switch on your phone and take a peek. The screen flickers on and suddenly turns black, the device refusing to boot up. Great, now using your phone to avoid conversation was no longer an option.

"Hopefully, the rain lets up soon," you reply. Suga nods but he can tell your words carry a slight hesitancy to them.

After a bout of silence, he inquires, "Do you like the rain?"

word count: 3.5k

content: silly love again, mutual pining, not actually unrequited love, some goofs and giggles and misunderstandings, the teeniest tiniest inkling of angst but it’s covered up with silliness, the word hussy is used which is the funniest word ever and i’m so glad i discovered it it’s so old-timey-small-town word

notes: this is a part three to my little mini series w sebastian! you can find part one here,   and part two here!

oh hey guys this is probably completely indecipherable but i’ve been rewriting this over and over again this past week and decided that this is my most proudest version of this work and maybe there will be more but this… is IT (i’m lying and will be writing more companion pieces to this okay much love love all of u mwah)

<><><><><>

Hiding from your problems does not fix everything. In fact, it doesn’t fix anything

It’s a lesson you should’ve figured out the first time you did it. You remember being back in grade school, forgetting to study for a test one year and faking a rash in the nurse’s office to get out of it. The rash in question was a collection of the healing, scabbed-over cat scratches on your forearm. You’d drawn over it harshly with dark red pen and marker to create some kind of rash-like illusion. In the end all you got was a disappointed look from the nurse, an ugly smear of red and burgundy on your arm, and a D-minus on your world history test.

So, yes. Hiding has dreadful consequences. And even just during your time in Stardew Valley, you should’ve known to keep this lesson close to your heart. This is the second time you’ve run away from Sebastian already, and the first time didn’t last long anyways. Stupid, silly you.

In your defense, it wasn’t really Sebastian you were running away from. It was his mom. For three days following your stupid kissing shenanigans, Robin terrorized your dreams, and your daydreams, and the reflections of yourself that you saw in the tiny pond on your farm…

So, yes it’s safe to say that running away was not doing you any good. But what other choice did you have?

pry your way in

sebastian (sdv) x gn reader

word count: 4.7k (oh my god)

content: mutual pining, ROMANTIC TENSION, aggressive pining on the reader’s part, do they kiss or do they not, social anxiety (can u TELL), embarrassing situations, comedy (maybe) (hopefully) (maybe you’ll get a little giggle out of this and swing your feet around), so much build up, the slowest burn you could possibly get in under 5k words

notes: oh HEY guys so i went crazy again and i don’t think i’ve ever written so much in one sitting. this is insane. look at what this game has done to me.

part 1 part 2 (you are here) part 3

<><><><><>

All you need to do is drop off these stupid eggs in Gus’s fridge. That’s it. In and out and then you can go home and pretend that you did not stare at Sebastian for almost an entire straight minute in the doorway of the saloon.

He’s too busy playing pool, you think, and from the brief (many) glances you’ve taken at them, it looks like he’s pretty close to beating Sam. Your heart goes out to the blonde. One day, for sure, he’ll be able to get more than three balls in an entire game against Sebastian.

silly silly

sebastian (sdv) x gn reader

word count: 2.1k

content: pining (mutual…), AGGRESSIVE pining, reader is smitten and in love, stream of conciousness/ramble type of writing, romantic tension (unresolved), cute and will maybe make ur stomach hurt from anxiety (i have my ways) (i’m lying)

notes: omg hey guys so i wasn’t lying about the stardew valley delusion and now i’m so deep in that i wrote this in a haze last night and posted it to my ao3 and now im posting it here. please enjoy. my heart and soul (my rotted brain) went into this it’s the beginning of my magnum opus

part 1 (you are here) part 2 part 3

<><><><><>

You’re gonna kiss him silly. By the end of the night, you totally are.

It’s something you decided since before you showed up at this jellyfish-festival thing. You barely even know what it’s all about, really—the note from Demetrius didn’t say much other than the fact that it was happening tonight, and you should come, and it’s beautiful and all the jellyfish are going south for the winter (like they’re a flock of birds, you think absurdly), and it’s down at the beach at 10pm. You weren’t exactly up to asking him more about it, seeing as it would be awkward to do that and then kiss his step-son on the mouth right in front of him that same night.

TITLE: everyday pairing: shinazugawa sanemi x reader note: crossposting bc i have no energy to write but i remembered i wrote this and that it existed <3 i did edit this a bit tho so it IS different <3
MASTERLIST

Sanemi is lucky to have both the reflexes to prevent your door from slamming shut in his face and the strength to stop it from subsequently crushing his fingers.

Or maybe he’s lucky that you haven’t had a substantial amount of solid food in the past three days, resigned to sweating out this sickness in your bed, miserable and alone.

“The fuck is wrong with you?” he snaps, narrow eyes slitting as you groan wordlessly at him, no doubt appraising your pitiful attempts to shut the door despite him being leagues stronger.

“We’re closed. Come back later,” you cough, voice nasally and wet and throat clogged with mucus.

“Shut up. You look and sound like shit.” Sanemi successfully muscles himself through the doorway, much to your chagrin. The crinkling of a plastic bag draws your suspicion—sure enough, you see the telltale label of cold medicine through the translucent wrinkles.

“You’re not gettin’ that liquid piss anywhere near me,” you say, too tired to threaten him with petty acts of food thievery. “Shinobu tried and couldn’t, so don’t get your hopes up.”

TITLE: amezaiku dream pairing: kocho shinobu x reader note: in a very shinobu mood rn… this was actually part of shinobu’s “firsts” chapters that i was writing, but i took it and rewrote it a bit separately since i love her <3
MASTERLIST

Shinobu receives a gift from you on the anniversary of her sister’s death.

You had no idea of the date, of course, so when you come bursting into her office, appearance slightly disheveled and skin glistening with sweat, she takes it as a welcome but unexpected distraction.

“My, my. You certainly know how to make an appearance. What’s with the energy all of a sudden?” She smiles something icy—delicate and carefully crafted. The little standing calendar on her desk is glaring at her.

“Ah—I—I got—” You begin, stumbling over yourself and out of breath. “I have a gift!” And she watches you pull out a neatly wrapped, shining piece of candy. “Look, isn’t it pretty? Kanroji-chan and Obanai-san took me to see amezaiku! Ah, well, more like Obanai-san was already going with Kanroji-san and then I tagged along, but—” And you flash the colors at her in demonstration.

It’s a fragile, glimmering sugar butterfly, glinting purple and blue in the light streaming through her windows. Soft colored light kiss your cheeks in gentle, fuzzy-edged refractions.

She’s the Housekeeper

Yor Briar/ Forger x She/Her Reader

A/N: Quick disclaimer that I’ve only seen the first five episodes and haven’t started reading the manga yet, but I love this family and would die for them. Not really sure the time period Spy x Family takes place in, but it gives me 1940s-50s vibes so Yor and Reader’s relationship is secret. Anyway, hope you enjoy! Sometimes a family is two women in a closeted wlw relationship who commit crimes together, a feminist spy king who enters a platonic marriage with one of said women to reach their goals in a mutually beneficial way, and a mind reading little girl who just scored two moms and a dad that bring her favorite spy tv show to life. Word Count: ~4,263

“Ah, you don’t have to worry Yuri! Your big sister is fine! My boyfriend is wonderful, you’ll meet him another time. You don’t need to send anyone to scout him out.”

Though Yor was occupied, (Y/n) aimed a sympathetic smile at her back from where she sat on the couch. Then she went back to her work, replenishing her cleaning supplies for her next clean up job.

There was no boyfriend for Yor, but she did have a girlfriend. For a little over six years actually. Unfortunately, Ostania did not recognize such relationships between members of the same sex so they had to keep their relationship under wraps. It got harder now that they were almost in their thirties though. Before when they told people they were roommates no one batted an eye, but now people were suspicious over the two lovely single women still unmarried with no eligible men in sight.

“O-oh, is that so? I guess he’ll see us there then, won’t he? Of course my boyfriend is a very busy man, but he’ll try to come with me to the party… okay, love you, bye…” Yor placed the receiver back on it’s resting perch and rushed (Y/n), nearly crushing her in her bruising grip

“Ah! Careful, careful, careful! My spine, my spine!” (Y/n) warned, quickly getting Yor to loosen her deadly hug to a more sustainable pressure.

[aki hayakawa] boyfriend headcanons.

reupload from @.4pochi.
  • one of the most loving partners you will ever know.
  • he’ll make an effort to call you whenever he can: during his breaks at the bureau, when he returns from a job, or to wish you a good night if he can’t make it back home in time.
  • “are you keeping well?  i’m sorry i can’t see you tonight.  there’s extra okonomiyaki in the fridge if you’re hungry, and some money in my coat if you want to go out.”
  • aki knows that, on nights when he’s not home, you sleep in his shirts or hug them as you drift off into slumber, so he’ll intentionally leave some of them out on his drawer for you to grab.
  • he also makes sure to separate the shirts you’ll wear from the ones he actually wears to work, though.  for some reason, the thought of any part of the bureau touching you makes his blood cold – that, and his work shirts don’t seem as … pure, once they’ve been worn on the field, even after thorough washes.
  • when he is able to come home to you, though, he’s light on his feet as he pads through the apartment.  sometimes he debates with himself whether or not to join you in bed or sleep out on the couch, though, but will ultimately resign himself to your side, allowing himself a selfish moment.

HI HELLO BEST WRITER ON TUMBLR

can i please request an angst/comfort sanemi x reader, where the reader and sanemi are both 24 but the reader is a little younger then him and sanemi's 25th birthday is coming soon meaning he'll pass away (yk bc of the mark and all), i hope that makes enough sense lol. if u don't write stuff like that it's totally cool, just ignore this! if u do, thanks in advance!!:D

pairing: shinazugawa sanemi x reader warnings: none genre: angst, comfort wc: 894 note: anon y do u do this to me 😭😭 also for those of u new to kny, this story is not spoiler free!

In less than two winters, you will be the sole occupant of this house. The thought terrifies you, makes some foreign kind of sickness chase away all the tranquility you’d built with him since that fateful battle three years ago.

It’s not fair. It’s not fair. You’re losing two of your surviving friends in the same year and it’s not fucking fair. It doesn’t even matter that you’ll soon follow—the pain of having to live without them for even a few hours, let alone months, will be leagues worse than any injury you’ve sustained.

Sanemi is tucked beneath the futon beside you, reading a book propped up in his hand. Left hand—now that his right can no longer support the weight of a book on its own. He looks so peaceful, having lost that angry glare you’d come to love, though he falls into it easily on occasion. There’s a shadow of it whenever Tengen seems to come around.

Your heart clenches as you lay there beside him, remembering the stinging blisters, burning lungs, breathlessness of sucking in air to protect long lost loved ones.

“You’re frowning again,” Sanemi says, and it occurs to you that he’s been watching you for a while—that book stagnant in his hand—the uncanny stillness of your posture having alerted him to your dazed, distant state.

Can I get a happy ending for Shinobu and reader? Like they were able to help her with Kanao and Inosuke. I want to make Kanao's monologue "I want to go home together" a reality at least in this request. So maybe a happy or sappy one of them going home after the battle. Thank you so much!

i hope you like it! i also hope you don't mind me tweaking the request slightly, haha <3

“Upper Moon Two and Shinobu Kochou are here!” The crow cried out, hovering in front of the sliding door that led you to where the Upper Moon was staying.

You inhaled deeply, looking at your unsheathed sword—infused with the most powerful wisteria poisons you and Shinobu could ever make—with the help of Tamayo, of course, and your swordsmith.

And along with your blood…

I hope it’ll be enough.

Sliding open the door, your eyes widen at the sight in front of you; Shinobu was holding her shoulder—haori soaked in crimson—hunched over slightly with her other arm holding her sword.

Beside her, Kanao and Inosuke, who were quite injured themselves.

On the other side was the demon—Upper Moon Two—casually talked to them, a serene smile on his face.

Well, until you had arrived.

“Oh, look! Another meal as arrived! I’m truly blessed.” He declared happily, eyes closing as his smiled widened.

You ignored the demon, quickly running over to Shinobu. “How many injuries do you have? We need to treat you as soon as possible.” You fretted, wiping off the blood from her cheeks as you looked over at the wound on her shoulder.

“He just got my collarbone, (Name). Don’t worry. We have more important matters to tend to.” She reassured, eyes shifting over to the figure behind you—her violet eyes burning with a deep hatred.

Wordlessly, you nod, unsheathing your sword as you stood beside her, eyes narrowed at the enemy before you.

“Ah, how sad…do you not realize how useless your poisons and attacks are? Your attempts at taking my life are laughable.” He giggled, multi-colored eyes shimmering in delight.

“Breath of Poison, First Style: Devil’s Wisteria.” You mumbled, quickly charging forward as wisteria petals followed your sword, managing to slash his jaw before he jumped back, blocking your sword with one of his fans.

“Wow! You’re almost as fast as her!” He marveled, smile widening, his mouth healing in an instant.

Okay, good. He doesn’t seem to be aware or feel the effects of the poison.

Shinobu readied her sword, eyes boring into the Upper Moon’s. “Insect Breathing, Dance of the Centipede: Hundred Legged Zigzag!”

In a mere second, a flash of purple went towards the demon—gaining enough momentum for a single, powerful stab right through his neck as she jumped upwards, deepening the cut right through his neck and right into the roof.

Your heart beat spike as you watched her sword slide out as she fell backwards, only for the Upper Moon to use his ice flowers to catch her.

“Shinobu-sama!” Kanao cried, eyes wide.

“Shinobu!” Inosuke called out, frozen in his spot.

His smile widened as he looked over to you, sending his ice flowers towards you.

Oh, no you don’t!

Jumping onto the flowers before the vines could wrap around you, you used them to propel yourself forward—slicing the vines that wrapped themselves around Shinobu.

Holding her tightly against your chest, you swiftly landed onto the ground away from the Upper Moon, setting her down gently.

Your eyes began to prickle as you looked over at her hunched figure, trembling slightly.

Not out of fear—but anger and frustration.

“Shinobu, please,” you beg, hugging her closely. “Don’t sacrifice yourself to defeat him. Please. We’re so close. I just need to shake him up and then we’re one step closer to defeating him.”

Taking the kakute ring from your middle finger, you quickly pull up your sleeve and dug the spikes on top of your arm and deep into your skin.

“H-hey, Poison Pillar! What’re you doing?!” Inosuke demanded, using his sword to point at your arm.

You hissed as you cut your arm, blood oozing out and dripping down your arm and right onto the wooden floor.

“(Name)…” Shinobu whispered, eyes widening. “Don’t hurt yourself like this.”

“It doesn’t compare to what he has done to the people, especially women and girls, that he has manipulated and killed.” You say with a painful smile, sliding the kakute onto your middle finger.

“Your blood…” Upper Moon Two spoke up, letting the vines of his ice flowers slither away, allowing him to land on the wooden floor after he had decomposed Shinobu’s poison. “It smells so good. You’re one of those people with that special blood type, aren’t you?”

You watched the way his saliva dribbled down his mouth, iridescent eyes focusing solely on your bleeding arm, beginning to breathe heavily.

You don’t respond, hand tightening around the hilt of your sword.

Kanao whipped her head towards the Upper Moon, plum colored eyes burning with rage—replacing her usual blank eyed look she usually wore.

“Breath of Flower, Fourth Style: Crimson Hanagoromo!”

Charging forward, she swung her sword in the direction of his neck—only for him to block it with his fans, and aimed for the back of her neck.

“Breath of Poison, Third Style: Deadly Nightshade.”

Slashing his arm before he could touch Kanao’s neck, you brought your bleeding arm near his nose for a moment before jumping back, arm around Kanao’s waist.

The Upper Moon stumbled back, seemingly dazed. “Huh. Your blood makes me dizzy.”

“Flower Breathing, Fifth Style: Peonies of Futility!”

“Breath of Poison, Second Style: Titan Arum.”

“Breath of the Beast, Eighth Fang: Explosive Rush!”

Together, you, Kanao, Inosuke sprung forward, slashing his body repeatedly without hitting each other, attacks in sync.

I need to go for the head—

Before you could bring your sword to his neck, however, swinging his fans repeatedly—a series of multiple attacks weaving over one another his they headed towards the three of you.

“Breath of Poison, Fourth Style: Bleeding Heart.”

Swinging your sword in multiple directions, you cut through the attacks, standing in front of Kanao and Inosuke so they wouldn’t be impacted by his Blood Art.

You look over at the color of his elongated nails, the deep blue hue shifting into violet, before a blood red.

It indicated that the poison you and Shinobu created was starting to work.

“(Name),” Shinobu spoke up, voice shaking slightly as she got up, her shoulder bandaged.

She must’ve done it while we were attacking him.

“I want to do it with you.”

You nod, smiling as she stood beside you—a deadly calm expression on her face.

“Insect Breathing, Butterfly Dance: Caprice.”

“Breath of Poison, Sixth Style: Queen of Poison.”

The two of you quickly leapt towards him, attacks weaving onto one other’s intricately, swirls of violet butterflies and blood aconite blending together; Shinobu’s sword stabbed multiple times as you sliced his neck off, landing with a thump! beside his body as you wrapped your arm around Shinobu’s body, distancing yourself from the Upper Moon.

“Huh, amazing! You cut off my head. Too bad I can just reattach…” He trailed off, his body stiff.

You watched as his face began to rot away, falling onto his knees as he looked at his arms.

His eyes began to fall out—then, his arms began to melt, his bones—everything.

You watched with a satisfied smirk, feeling warmth spread throughout your body at the sight of the dying demon in front of you.

“Ah, how sad…do you not realize your attempts at regenerating are? It’s laughable, really.” You mocked, crossing your arms over your chest.

He attempted to speak, to do the something—however, you were right. He could do a thing.

Finally fading away, it felt like a huge burden was lifted off your shoulders.

“Shinobu, my love,” you smiled, tears prickling at the corners of your eyes. “We did it.”

She nodded wordlessly, letting out a breathy laugh as she collapsed into your chest, her tears soaking your uniform.

They weren’t tears of sadness.

They were tears of happiness and hope.

“Yes, we did.”

All four of you hugged each other tightly, closely; savoring the moment with one another.

We can do this.

We can go home together.
