I went to the Geek Craft Expo on Saturday. There was a fellow there who takes toys and does photos of them and tries to make it look real. He had superheroes and Star wars just to name a little bit of what he does. I picked this up and I love it. Now I just need a frame for it.

One of my sister's friends posted something about her attic being creepy and it ended up getting 50k notes as everyone argued about why it was creepy, whether it was real, and if it was actually just perfectly reasonable.

Candace would have dozens of posts like that with her describing some crazy shenanigans of her brothers and a couple weirdly out of focus pics attached.

They'd blow up initially with people scoffing about how dumb it is but then someone pipes up with "oh yeah the rocket race around the world was crazy when they came through our town". And suddenly other people are adding their own photos or reblogs.

Sadly when Candice thinks she has proof and shows her mom, Tumblr's search function tells her they can't find any records of her own post.

Years of watching covid safety go down the tubes tells me this is merely realism.

Just because I keep seeing people say “what do you want them to do? Lay people off?!” No. I think we’re saying that they shouldn’t have taken on more employees than they could responsibly afford. one time my friend had surgery on her hip/knee and we went to visit her in the hospital and she was like “hey guys, check out what i have! it’s this cool button that, when I press it, it gives me more morphine!” and sure enough she had a little tube with one end attached to her IV or whatever and one end with a button on it, and every time she pushed the button it gave her morphine

and she just kept pressing it and pressing it and giggling and getting loopier and loopier, so we went to ask a nurse if that was OK or if she was just going to overdose herself

and the nurse said that the morphine button is on a self timer limit and she had already maxed it out and won’t be able to get more for a few more hours, but she can just press the button as many times as she wants and thanks to her already being on the max dose of morphine she was just placebo effect-ing herself into the fucking stratosphere

The fact it’s been 2 whole days since the announcement and there hasn’t been a SINGLE word from Watcher is absolutely wild—weekend or not. Are they seriously waiting until the work week starts again to do damage control? By the time they choose to say something it’ll already be too late at this point (and honestly it was probably too late yesterday)

There are video essays criticizing Watcher from top YouTubers already out and gaining millions of views. Watcher is still trending in Tumblr’s top three. Twitter is still roasting. Their Ghost Files UK tour is 48 hours away. The dead silence is causing detrimental damage to their company. I genuinely do not understand their thought process right now.
