THE ROYAL LIVERPOOL PHILHARMONIC PLATINUM JUBILEE BROOCH
The special jubilee brooch is a collaboration between the Liverpool jewelry firm David M. Robinson and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society.
Set in platinum, of course, the brooch’s shape incorporates a stylized musical staff. Round diamond brilliants represent musical notes—specifically, the opening notes of “God Save the Queen.”
The brooch’s scrolling shape also nods to the 1930s Art Deco architectural style of the philharmonic’s building. Additional diamonds set in platinum swirl around a single round white pearl, which DMR describes as “an ode to Her Majesty’s personal style and jewellery collection.”
