Germany froze the bank account of a Jewish organization because they condemn the genocide in Gaza. They had previously been targeted for the freezing of their account for their support for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions.

The German state once again targeting dissident Jews with persecution. The Nazis had also seized the bank accounts of Jews.

More than 100 Palestinians have been killed and some 700 others wounded after Israeli troops opened fire on hundreds waiting for food aid southwest of Gaza City, health officials say, as the besieged enclave faces an unprecedented hunger crisis. The Gaza Ministry of Health said on Thursday that at least 104 people were killed and more than 750 wounded, with the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemning what it said was a cold-blooded “massacre”. [...] People had congregated at al-Rashid Street, where aid trucks carrying flour were believed to be on the way. Al Jazeera verified footage showing the bodies of dozens of killed and wounded Palestinians being carried onto trucks as no ambulances could reach the area. “We went to get flour. The Israeli army shot at us. There are many martyrs on the ground and until this moment we are withdrawing them. There is no first aid,” said one witness. Reporting from the scene, Al Jazeera’s Ismail al-Ghoul said that after opening fire, Israeli tanks advanced and ran over many of the dead and injured bodies. “It is a massacre, on top of the starvation threatening citizens in Gaza,” he said. The dead and wounded had been taken to four medical centres: al-Shifa, Kamal Adwan, Ahli and the Jordanian hospitals. Ambulances could not reach the area as the roads had been “totally destroyed”, said al-Ghoul. “The numbers will rise. Hospitals are no longer able to accommodate the huge number of patients because they lack fuel, let alone medicine. Hospitals have also run out of blood.” Reporting from occupied East Jerusalem, Al Jazeera’s Bernard Smith said the Israeli military “initially tried to pin the blame on the crowd” saying that dozens were hurt as a consequence of being crushed and trampled when aid trucks arrived. “And then, after some pushing the Israelis went on to say that their troops felt threatened, that hundreds of troops approached their troops in a way they posed a threat to them so they responded by opening fire,” Smith added.

"This is a war on children"

Unicef spokesperson describes the scenes at a hospital in Gaza as the ceasefire came to an end on Friday.

James Elder in his video said "Inaction by those with influence is allowing the killing of children". The Palestine Heath Ministry said there are already dozens of Palestinians killed as Israel renewed its bombing campaign after talks to extend a truce had failed

in light of a four day ceasefire in Gaza being agreed upon, i am once again asking you all not to lose sight of the big picture. Biden and the Israeli Government are trying to frame this as a major democratic victory and as a favor respectively. they have no intention of a total ceasefire. they have no intention of stopping their genocide. remember - a ceasefire is the very first step. it’s not even the bare minimum.

the absolute bare minimum in this situation is 1) a complete ceasefire and immediate humanitarian aid in Gaza, 2) complete halt of all military foreign aid to the Israeli government, 3) the Israeli government being prosecuted for its war crimes in the International Criminal Court, and 4) land back and reparations for the Palestinian people. free Palestine means free Palestine, not just temporarily stop carpet bombing Palestine.

a temporary ceasefire is something, but it’s not even close to the end goal. we cannot let up pressure when things seem to be looking up. keep protesting, boycotting, spreading awareness, contacting politicians, etcetera. keep your eyes on Gaza. free Palestine.

Buddy, when racist cunts illegally prevented me from registering to vote by just refusing to accept my papers, I PROMISE YOU shitty guilt trip memes about my inability to vote made everything worse.

You know what ACTUALLY helped?

More than every passive aggressive shit for brains on this website telling me I deserve to me racially harassed for not giving Democrats my soul?

A fucking email from a fucking HERBS AND SPICES STORE that unlike you wretched cunts ACTUALLY HAD VOTER REGISTRATION HELPLINES IN IT.

Every time one of you godforsaken freaks tells me to 'get out and vote' like its cutely trivial and didn't take months of desperate phone calls just to register (IF my registration even WORKED THIS TIME).

If you, like me, are struggling with registration or poll access, try contacting your STATE board of elections.

Request that they send you TWO copies of their registration guidelines. Collect any documents listed in them.

Then, contact your LOCAL board. Tell them you would like to register IN PERSON IF POSSIBLE.

Bring your documents and the two copies of the guideline AND a working cell phone.

If you get ANY trouble AT ALL tell the local person you will call the state board to confirm their registration requirements. Be polite, but do not leave. Put the phone on speaker.

Most of the time, the local person who is doing Actual Serious Federal And State Crimes will give up at that point. If not, the person at the state board will generally outrank and overrule the local one.

Make a note of the names of both the local and state official.

Then, and this is the most important part:

CONFIRM YOUR REGISTRATION WAS FILED.

It may take a day or two for your registration to appear.

Unfortunately, if it's been a week, you're going to have to repeat the process.

Take the names you noted previously, and contact the state board again. Report that these people denied you registration on this day, in spite of you providing these documents, then list all the required papers you collected.

The person at the state SHOULD be able to direct you from there, but the process varies hugely by state.

Good luck to you all.

ETA: I was able to vote eventually, BTW. It took far more work than it should have. Physical injuries were sustained. But I did get to vote!!

I feel like this should go without saying, but: Non-Muslims and Non-Jews can and should reblog posts about the upticks in antisemitism and islamophobia and how scared Jewish ppl and Muslim ppl are right now. If nothing else, it's an easy thing to do to spread awareness. But it also signals "hey, I'm listening, I promise" which is not something any of us are confident any of y'all are doing.

As a Muslim I one hundred percent agree with this. I'm worried for both my fellow Muslim brothers and sisters and my Jewish brothers and sisters as well.

For my followers living in the UK—it is extremely likely that members of parliament will convene on Wednesday, November 15th, to vote once and for all for whether or not the UK should join the majority of the world's states and vote for a ceasefire to protect the citizens of Gaza.

This is historic. The UK is one of the most powerful nations in the world and on the UN council, and it is one of the few that had been staunchly opposing a ceasefire for the past month. If the UK supports a ceasefire, it would go a long way in securing peace and dignity for the Palestinians.

Please, please write to you MP and demand that they support the ceasefire. Organisations are asking people to implement the idea of "No Ceasefire, No Vote"—let those in power (especially MPs who may not support the idea) know that they will not be voted for in the coming elections if they stand against this.

This is a link that sends the email for you. It takes less than a minute. If you would like to edit it to add your own reasons, do that. And if you're not British, share the hell out of this post.

Free Palestine!

[on MSNBC, a headline at the bottom reads: Breaking News, Mideast Conflict Divides The World. Above the video of the news reporter, a TikTok user has captioned: "if ur still not sure where you stand on the ongoing ge.0c!de watch this"; all emphasis mine.]

"And given these bombings are being done using our tax dollars, perhaps we should ask some questions. For example, how does bombing a densely populated land strip filled 50% with children constitute self-defense?

How does bombing hospitals, churches, mosques, and U.N. schools constitute self-defense? 'Well,' you say, 'if Hamas fighters are hiding in the hospital, using civilians as human shields' — okay, let's say they are.

Are you arguing that flattening the hospital and killing newborns in their incubators and their moms in the NICU, cancer patients, someone with a broken leg, the doctors, nurses, and just the women and kids hiding in the hospital — that that's not a war crime?

Because you would be wrong, according to international law.

'But why don't the people in Gaza just turn over Hamas militants to the Israelis?' Okay, how do you propose they do that? Hamas is the defacto government in Gaza, as they're the ones with the guns. The leaders of Hamas aren't even in Gaza. And if they were...

If you were a teenager living in an open air prison getting bombed day and night by, let's say Mexico, and Mexican police kicked in the door and raided your house any time they wanted and turned off the water and cut off your food, what are you going to do? Side with them? Help them while you're dying?

That's like asking why Black folks don't help or trust the police.

'Okay, but after 9/11, we bombed Afghanistan in self-defense,' yeah... we did! And did that put an end to al Qaeda or get bin Laden? No! It did not. Because like Hamas, bin Laden wasn't in the country we were bombing. President Obama got him 10 years later in Pakistan using special forces and without bombing scores of kids to death.

Bombing Afghanistan did buy us a 20 year occupation that got us more enemies in the Muslim world, when we scooped people up on the battlefield and dragged them off to Gitmo, and when we threw in a gratuitous war against Iraq, based on lies by a Bush administration, that traded on our anger and our fear, the world rose up against us as we committed torture — and tossed former Iraqi police and soldiers into makeshift gulags and those prisoners later turned into ISIS.

Oh, and the Taliban are back in control of Afghanistan, so again, what is the goal? Of mass bombing Gaza? Is it to find the people Hamas militants abducted on October 7th? Okay, how? By flattening whatever shelter they're taking from the bombs? Don't you risk killing them all by bombing them with the Palestinians?

Just some relevant questions. And trust me: people do want answers. Over the weekend, protests erupted around the world with hundreds of thousands of demonstrators rallying in cities in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Copenhagen, Rome, Stockholm, Kuala Lumpur. Scores took to the streets in the U.S., shutting down the Brooklyn Bridge in New York & a major highway in San Francisco.

The call in each of these protests was for a ceasefire. A word that for some, has somehow come to mean 'anti-semitism and a lack of care about those who were brutally killed on October 7th', or even support for Hamas.

So how, then, do you explain the family members of some of those being held by Hamas who are also calling for a ceasefire?

And what would a ceasefire even mean? Well, it would literally mean both sides stop shooting. No more rockets into Israel, no more Israeli jets strafing Gaza. It would mean a prisoner's swap negotiated by credible third parties which sadly, probably doesn't include us at this point.

It would mean getting food, water, and medicine into Gaza and not pushing for two million Palestinians to expel themselves to Egypt or Jordan, likely to never be allowed to return. Hopefully, it would mean tamping down the McCarthyism and the doxing and anti-semitism and islamophobia and anti-Palestinian racism in our own country and in Europe.

And then somebody, anybody, actually working to solve the real problem: which is a 56-year occupation of the West Bank and Gaza strip, that has sparked and will continue to spark vehement (and yes, even violent) resistance whether Hamas exists or not."
