Things I'm learning in my first TMNT 2003 straight run through

First time watching the show straight and not just chosen episodes, here's what I have learned from season 1 that makes me go "ooooh interesting":

I gotta remember this was made in the early 2000s when shows usually did not end suddenly, therefore cliffhangers and open-ended storylines made sense to establish in earlier seasons because you were likely to get renewed. But my sense of closure was like "NOOOO."

When you are alone and have a heart attack. What are you gonna do then?

How do you survive a heart attack when you're alone when it happens? A person who is feeling weak and whose heart is beating hard has only about 10 seconds before losing consciousness.

1. But you can help yourself by coughing repeatedly and very strongly! Deep breaths before every cough. Coughing should be repeated every second until you arrive at the hospital or until your heart starts to beat normally.

2. Deep breathing gives oxygen to your lungs and coughing movements boost the heart and blood circulation. Heart pressure also helps to restore a normal heartbeat. Here's how cardiac arrest victims can make it to the hospital for the right treatment

3. Cardiologists say if someone gets this message and passes it on to 10 people, we can expect to save at least one life.

4. FOR WOMEN: You should know that women have additional and different symptoms. Rarely have crushing chest pain or pain in the arms. Often have indigestion and tightness across the back at the bra line plus sudden fatigue.

Important for younger people too!! I was in my 30's, sitting in a waiting room, feeling sorry for myself because I was the youngest person at the cardiologist's. Then a kid who couldn't have been more than 16 walked in....

I don't know which artist needs to hear this, but if you don't like your lineart...if you find that the lineart stage does not add any value to your artwork...then you do not need to do lineart. your artwork is still complete if you go straight from sketch to colours. as long as you think it's complete.

The same goes for any stage of art making. does shading not bring joy or improve the piece in your eyes? then you do not need to shade! some art styles genuinely look better without shading!

I'm very tired of this "queer college students should stop supporting Palestine, they'd kill you there!" I watched a hijabi ask a trans man, "but what name do you want to go by?" A butch giving a woman their hoodie so that she could keep her hair covered after the cops took her scarf. Muslim girls making sure the lesbian couple got through the system together. Religious men making sure purple haired protestors got out safe. I don't want to hear it. Solidarity forever, free Palestine.

Hmm lemme think

1. Donnie will be kidnapped a second time by one of the people who want to (figuratively or literally) pick his brain, and Draxum will realise how much it sucks to have someone he cares about kidnapped away from him

2. The thing that makes Donnie realise the fam has been telling the truth/it’s all a lie will be something mundane and small that draxum overlooked, eg by some random outside influence like an ex villain of the week that draxum never knew abt. OR he will suddenly be too mean to gale and gale will run away or come to realise that draxum isn’t as good as he thought at least

3. Mikey will go beast mode

4. Idk what else I haven’t got many theories unfortunately

Huh. Interesting.

There are...two details here that are correct.

1. Donnie/Galois is gonna be forced to put the pieces together about his memory due to Raph idly talking about his childhood (being in a box being one of his earliest memories comes to mind, my brain latched onto that detail)

2. Cas is going to start questioning Draxum after hearing about Foot Brute being dead

3. Draxum is going to start losing his marbles, and conjure up a possible murder/suicide situation if they get caught OR

4. Draxum gets caught and admits what he did, with proof, to save Galois/Donnie from being persecuted

Just to let you know, this is the seventh time that Rise has been trending on Twitter this month. New fans are discovering Rise all the time. Keeping the fandom alive, keeping the hope alive, is how we will get new Rise content. Every little effort help.
