This morning I was remembering back to 2016 when Yuri On Ice was still airing. The world was going to shit around us but those of us who watched the episodes weekly had at least one thing to make us feel better. YOI really helped me get through it, and I know a lot of people felt the same way. It was the best experience I've ever had with any fandom—there was an unmistakable bond between all of us. I do miss those days. It’s sad to see—abandoned fics, fanart from accounts now long since deactivated, blogs of old friends inactive for years now, and now the cancellation of Ice Adolescence. The memories are bittersweet now, but I'm glad I have them.
