hi!! oh man, when i first started digital art it was...over a decade ago...deviantart was my life, so i found a lot of tutorials on there just by searching things like ‘digital colouring tutorial’ or ‘lighting tutorial.’ nowadays i don’t use tutorials so much (even though i really should), but @digital-art-tutorials has lots of (sourced/reblogged, not reposted!) tutorials for your perusal :)

In your princess mononoke AU have you thought about who the other characters would be?

i’ve been trying to think of who would be, say, lady eboshi or jiko-bou, but they’re both such selfish characters that it’s difficult! i was thinking maybe jj, sara, or mila for eboshi and yurio for jiko-bou, but in a very tongue-in-cheek way! instead of killing the spirit of the forest, they want to capture the mythical gpf gold medal, or something like that. the whole au kind of devolved into crack as soon as i thought of the giant poodles anyway :’)

hi guys! i’ve been getting more requests to repost my art recently so i thought it might be worthwhile to make a post about it. i REALLY appreciate everyone taking the time and consideration to ask my permission, and i definitely want to encourage that, not just with me, but with all artists and reposters! so, to save everyone’s valuable time, here are some things to know before asking to repost my art:

1. please DO NOT REPOST my art on tumblr or twitter, i have active accounts on both sites and will not give permission for reposts there

2. if you would like to repost on instagram, facebook, weibo, etc, please send me the url of your page (if applicable) so i can check your reposting policies

3. if you have uncredited reposts or reposts from artists i know do not allow reposts, i will not allow you to repost my art. the more ‘reposted with permission from artist’ i see, the more likely i am to let you repost :)

4. to avoid having my work flood onto fb/ig/etc, i will only allow one (1) person per week to repost on those platforms

5. on your repost, please make sure to state that the work is reposted with permission from artist and that further reposting/republishing is prohibited without permission

6. once you have reposted, i very much appreciate being sent a link to the post!

7. finally and most important, just because you saw me give permission to someone else does NOT mean you yourself have permission! PLEASE ask me and every other artist for unique permission EVERY TIME you want to repost!!!

Q: but what if i send you a message and you don’t respond?

A: if i don’t respond to your message here, it’s because i either haven’t seen it yet or i saw it and forgot to respond, i'm not ignoring you! so please feel free to send me another ask/message and DO NOT REPOST until you have heard back! :)
