“This is most of what I’ve missed out on?” He questions, finger swiping across the screen to browse through the long list of titles. “There’s a lot here. This should keep me occupied for a while,” He pauses, then, glancing back up at her as he lifts a brow. “You didn’t answer my question. Why would you wish to give me this?”
“I wouldn’t say most, that’d be a hell of list, but it’s a decent chunk of it. I’ve read them them, so if you need someone to bounce ideas off of then I think we have the coinciding lunch shifts, feel free to come over and take a seat.” Giving him the open invitation to lunch had not been the original plan, but she decides to roll with as it were. “Well, it’s not a Trojan Horse, if that’s what you’re afraid of. It’s a thank you, for saving my ass back at that station.” She could stop there, she should stop there, but being succinct was never her strong suit. “I don’t know about you, but surviving zombies makes you a friend in my book, and friend do this for each other.”
Not a lie, but not the entire truth either.

“Captain—” she acknowledges with a dip of her head, hands a little busy mapping out the latest star system they’d be navigating soon. A throbbing pain had nestled itself to the base of her skull and when she sees the glasses in his hands the reason becomes all too clear. “Oh, well...that explain the headache.” grabbing the frames she pulls them off and examines them, they looked nearly identical, an easy mix up but the color was just a little off now that she looked closely.

“I… See,” He raises an eyebrow as he stares down at the PADD for a moment, before he slowly reaches out to accept it from her. “Might I ask why you’d go to the trouble?” He questions, browsing the titles.
A grin pulls at her lips when he takes the PADD, “It’s not much trouble, I owned most of them, just riffled through and selected what you might like.” her fingers twitch at her side so she clasps them behind her back, “You’ve got some biographies, historical texts, and some are for leisure.” Conveniently, she leaves out the why, but hopes its not noticed.
