Summary:
Kaz Brekker doesn’t believe in ghosts, because he needs Jordie’s voice to be something he’s making up. He does, on the other hand, believe in taking a good chance when you see it, and a cheap, large house that scares away clients because of ghost stories, which are obviously silly rumors, is exactly what he needs.Inej Ghafa wanders a building she has made her own domain, but is still trapped by what it once used to be. She doesn’t think there’s any good in Ketterdam or the people that approach the house, but she finds herself not immediately running out the newest owner. Perhaps, after something like a century in her incorporeal state, things might be turning up.~~~“There’s a ghost haunting that building,” people whisper, fearful and blind. “A wraith,”
Here is A Waiting Wraith on AO3, and you can also read the prologue under the cut!
