it probably needs to be said

do what you can about this news, and then log off for the day. sitting on it like you're trying to hatch an egg full of catastrophe will not help anyone.

do the things you can, and then call it a day. repeat tomorrow.

okay i saw this post and you know what? i'm not against this concept depending on how it's played. like i genuinely think it would be extremely fitting and satisfying if the person who defeats solas doesn't have the connection the inquisitor does. if they're someone who got into this because it simply had to be done

they don't care about solas's bullshit. they don't care about fen'harel or about his motivations. they don't have any of the sympathy or conflicted feelings the inquisitor might. solas has a god complex, he carries his self-importance like a burden. he, himself, is expecting some kind of showdown with the inquisitor

so imagine some nobody showing up, not knowing anything about solas, not caring at all about his history - solas is just the villain they have to stop. solas doesn't think anything of them, they never proved themself human to him. imagine solas getting defeated by someone average he never stopped to give a thought about, someone who looks at him and doesn't see a former friend, an ancient god, a nemesis

to them solas is just a villain. imagine this nobody tears him down from his self-imposed pedestal, and when they're done, this nobody is going to get back to their life. and solas was nothing special, not to them

this is almost certainly not what will happen, which is why i'm bitter, but i fuck heavy with this concept

So somebody might’ve finally finished their first DA:I play-through. I managed to avoid spoilers, despite being four years late to the party, and boy did that story shake me to my core.

I loved every single minute of it.
