A gloved hand grabs your chin and forces your face up, forces you to look into Kita’s eyes, the deep brown the same dark colour of the desk he sits behind. He thumbs at your lower lip and tugs your mouth open to press the cool, earthy taste of leather along your tongue, tsking at the drool that wells up around it and spills down your chin. “She’s awake.”

Awareness comes slowly, bringing with it a throbbing in the back of your head, a soreness in your throat. Your stomach roils in time with the jittering of the car floor beneath you, your cheek pressed uncomfortably against the tiny grooves that line it.

“Oh yeah? Lemme see.”

Your mouth is dry, body stiff, and the panic doesn’t really set in until you try to shift, to stretch, and you realize you’re bound, sharp plastic edges digging into your skin. There’s some sort of blindfold over your eyes, some kind of cloth stuffed in your mouth, and your desperate wriggling is doing nothing but making your head spin, making you feel sick and slick with a cold sweat as the sound of footsteps gets louder.

“Hey…hey, relax. You’re good.” It’s said soothingly in a warm, honey-sweet voice, accompanied with a firm hand pressed between your shoulder blades. You freeze automatically, and they must take it as trust instead of fear, because they start petting down your spine over and over like you’re a wild animal, trussed, trapped, and raring to be set free. “I’m gonna take this off for ya, ‘kay?”

There’s a tap against your blindfold and you nod jerkily, scraping your cheek along the floor as they wiggle a finger beneath the cloth, tugging it over your head. It’s dim in the back of the van, the light from above making you squint as you try to make out the blurred figures before you.

“Oi, you never said she was cute, Suna.” The owner of the voice crouches before you, his blonde hair swept immaculately back from his face, an interested twinkle in his eye as he shoots you a charming smile that does little to help your fraying nerves.

“Hn.” One of them looks at you, golden eyes piercing through the gloom to survey you before dropping back down to his phone. “Must’ve slipped my mind.”

FUCK, I though it was just another lucky meme but LISTEN. Since a week ago I was waiting a phone call to confirm me if I got a job or not in my university.
