i haven't seen anyone talk about this yet (i apologise if anyone has and i missed it) but if you see this petition PLEASE DO NOT SIGN IT! it is potentially so dangerous, especially to lgbtq youth as it would out them to family/people irl which could cause so much harm if they are in an unaccepting environment. it also makes it easier for people to be doxxed and it's already at 130k. please don't sign it.

It’s also extremely dangerous for minors who have to live in an abusive household. Those children will also try and get on social media without their ‘guardians’ knowing, so they can find help and raise enough money for them to leave. If their parents found out, they could get in serious harm and could be hurt both mentally and physically. PLEASE DON’T SIGN THE PETITION. Although it won’t hurt you personally, it could hurt a lot of people.

I like to reblog this post every once in awhile to just express how critically important it is that you do not recommend this series to your friends and followers without mentioning the trigger warnings. It does not matter if you think they’ll be fine to read it- you do not get to make that call. Sharing this list of trigger warnings gives them the opportunity to decide for themselves if this series is something they can handle.

I have seen other people be tricked into reading different series by not being presented any trigger warnings and it truly makes my skin crawl. This fandom has been insanely awesome about sharing this list and I hope that we continue to do so. Thank you all for being awesome and looking out for each other!

YOU NEED TO ASPIRATE BEFORE INJECTING.

I’ve known many individuals who were never told by medical professionals to aspirate, which is unacceptable on behalf of endocrinology. This is an extremely important step because if you accidentally inject into a vein, you can literally die.

How To Aspirate: Stick yourself with the needle and then draw back on the syringe. If your syringe fills with blood, you need to reposition your needle. If it doesn’t fill with blood, you’re safe to inject there.

Literally just aspirate because it takes 2 seconds and can save your life.

I had no idea people WEREN’T taught this. My endocrinologist was very VERY clear on the fact that aspirating is VERY necessary, and what could happen if I chose not to. I hate that this post even has to exist, because people are clearly not being taught how to do it correctly. I’m glad that it exists for the people who need it, but I hate that it’s even a thing that needs to be shared. This is a very serious issue.
