10: "I wanna be yours" - Arctic Monkeys
~ This song describes perfectly my inner feelings I had, when I was in love with people who doesn't recognised me, even when I tried to get their attention. (I had a lot of crushes but no one from them liked me back)
9: "I'll try" - Return to Neverland
~ Actually I like the german version from this song a little bit more. It always gaves me chills bc I used to listen to it every time when I was little. It stands for "growing up" and "letting childhood dreams gone", but I will never stop believing (..even in Peter Pan).
8: "Auf uns Zwei" - Matthias Schweighöfer
~ So here it is: A german one. I absolutely love this song. Every time I am listening to it, I just want to close my eyes and remember my time in Berlin. That city is my second hometown and I have such great memories there!
7: "Landfill" - Daughter
~ Honestly, every song from her touches me. But her music connects me also with good memories I got from playing Assassins Creed 3! Since then I love native americans and imagine the lakes and woods all by their beautiful nature-self, while playing this song.
6: "Private Parts" - Halestorm
~ Of course my favorite band is on this list too!
I see this song as a kind of pointè, because it really fits me and my ex-girlfriend. I realised after we broked up, that she didn't cared anymore. And that she never told me how she really feeled. (By the way their music is so badass amazing!)
5: "My Best Days" - Lana Del Rey
~ She is my queen of music. I love this touch of sad-romantic-charme in every song she produces. I listened to this song when I was reading "Salt in hair" by Edward Irving Wortis. The story is awesome and I fell in love with the main protagonist! Also every song connects me with different fandoms (Fullmetal Alchemist = Ride / Devil May Cry = Dark Paradise / Naruto = Born to Die / Sleeping Beauty = Once upon a dream)
4: "Ordinary Girl" - Miley Cyrus
~ She's not only one of my favorite musicians, she is also my role model too! I remember singing this song in school and at home all the time (+ "The Climb"). Only because of her, I started singing (as a hobby). It makes me very emotional. Since I was little I have been roleplaying and got more and more personalitys from the characters. When I started with Cosplay, it continued. But I realized that I am after all still myself, and that this counts the most.
3: "Sheiks Theme" - Ocarina of Time
~ I agree that every music from The Legend of Zelda is a masterpiece. But If I had to choose one song, then it will always be this one. I adore the beautiful sound of this melody & almost all the music from Nintendo. I played those games with my siblings and old friends. If it's Animal Crossing or Donkey Kong - it all remindes me of my childhood.
2: "Porzellan" - Farin Urlaub
~ And again a german one! My siblings always listened to "Die Ärzte" and "Farin Urlaub", so I kinda grew up with these bands. And the goddamn lyrics of this song hit me so hard! Every word is so true, and sadly I can see myself in these lines. I used to believe that I am nothing worth for, and just wanted to be someone else. But after years I learned that I am me - nothing more and nothing less. And that THAT is not a bad thing at all.
1: "Rock with you" - Michael Jackson
~ He is my one and only king of music. My favorite musician of all time. I keep so many childhood memories with his music in my heart, even when I never saw him in real life. But this song, and all others we're so important to me. And even today I can't stop listening to his music. Also "The Jackson 5" with "I'll be there" will be staying in my heart, because the music connects me with my grandmother and aunt, who I both had lost a few years ago. I miss them every day. And I miss those days where everything was just peaceful.
