A Thousand Stories Never Told

Olivia had taken Mia out for a girls' day. Something she tried to do at least once every month. This most recent one had brought them to Moonflower where Olivia had told the younger woman not to worry and get whatever spa treatment she wanted. Olivia wasn't made of money, but not having to pay rent anymore had definitely helped with that situation. Besides if the money she had wasn't enough for some reason she did have some items that she could barter for the services with.

"You know we should do this more often" she smiled, looking over at Mia as she soaked her feet in the footbath.

Mia turned her head to look at her. "We really should. As much as I love everyone I'm not sure they understand the value of being pampered just a little." She said with a small chuckle before setting her head back and closing her eyes. "Though I do think they could benefit from it. Especially Ryan. It's like he's always stressed these days."

emmet nodded and appreciated that lucas would give a run down of everything cause right now it was a mystery. "wait are you sure? you really don't have to throw in anything for free i can pay for it. i don't want you to use any supplies and not be able to get it back."

"Hey no don't worry about it. My supplies are fine and I'm telling you this is what I'm doing. Don't fight me on this kid, I will win." Besides, a little bit of extra kindness cost him nothing in the long run. "I'd rather not have to see you back here in a few weeks because you have quartz sliced from head to ass of the underside so call it an investment."

"i have no doubt in that and that she'll join but not until she's ready. right now she'd be too much of a risk because of all the anger she still holds so it's really a precaution for everyone." zeke admitted with a slight shrug as he continued to skim the folder. "a seelie heir huh? and i'm assuming this mission is me trying figure out who and where they are?"

"You don't think I'm angry? I tried to get myself killed in the most violent way I could think of. I was mad at everyone. Mad at the world. It's my anger that motivates me because I'd rather watch faerune burn than see it in the hands of Opal for much longer." She moved looking over the map of the city she had laid out. "There are people with ties to the royal family already in Faerune but that's not what I'm looking for. I need someone with a strong enough claim it will threaten Opal."

kirby just wanted to go to work, do the shit they get paid to do and go home but of course flint had to be at the bar that day. they'd somehow avoided him every other time he'd come by. the last run in with flint did not end well for kirby so to say they weren't exactly excited to see the guy. "it's kirby," they muttered pushing past him to go inside, "you gonna order shit or be a pain in my ass?"

"Aw you really want my company that badly? And here I thought you didn't like me all that much." He smirked looking over at them. "Interesting little place. I learn more and more about this city the longer I'm here."

Ezra shook their head as he took the joint from Cam in order to take his turn of taking a good hit off of it. "It feels weird. Looking up and not really seeing anything." They took a second hit before holding it back out to Cam, "probably. That feels a bit stronger than regular weed"

"Got it off a new guy. Recommended off a few people at group." He sat back. "So hows the fam. Everyone doing okay? You're doing alright, aren't you? You know I'm always a text away if you wanna rant about shit."

"You're growing more powerful," Avery admitted, purring loudly as she moved closer, settling down against Helena to assist with the healing process, as the witch drew magic from her. "Do you have to keep intentionally aggravating him, though? I don't like seeing you like this . . ."

"I'm tired of just taking the beatings." She looked over at Avery. "I have silently taken them for over fifteen years. All to keep Cass safe. Because it was easier for them all to hate me. I realised not that long ago she doesn't need me to protect her anymore." Helena reached and picked Avery up, holding her gently against her chest. "I'm going to kill him. I don't know how yet but it's going to happen and I'll finally be free."

"That's not what I asked." She caught his hand, pulling him to a stop for a moment. "You're allowed your space. As much as I like going to sleep with you there and waking up with you if you need space you're allowed to ask for it." She reached up and pushed his curls out of his eyes. "So. Do you want me to stay over or do you want a night alone? There isn't a wrong answer. Promise. I'll still kiss you good night."

emmet looked at lucas with a confused look on his face, "ruptured whoda what now?" he was not a car guy whatsoever so all the terms and stuff related were making no sense to him. if 'yikes' was able to show as a reaction that's definitely what was painted across emmet's features as lucas explained the crystals in his engine. he let out a sigh, scratching at his hair then put a hand on his hip, "yeah, i try not to drive it so much but i live across town from my jobs so it's usually quicker then trying to run back and forth."

Lucas chuckled as Emmet seemed a little lost as his explanation. It wasn't the first time a customer hasn't really understood what he was talking about and it wouldn't be the last. "Don't worry about it. I'll give you a full run down of everything I do so you can have proof everything has a purpose pricing wise. I'll throw in some safe guarding for free. I know a witch who hooked me up with some warding for the base of cars, bounces those crystals right off."

zeke grabbed the assignment and tucked it under his armpit not bothering to look it over just quite yet. "no," he said with a shake of his head, "i don't want her involved in this in anyway. i know she could handle her own but she's still just a human, i wouldn't be able to live with myself if anything happened to her." he'd rather her be able to say she knew nothing in case anything happened to him. zeke finally untucked the assignment and skimmed through it with a raised eyebrow, "so what's this one?"

"You forget that when the time comes everyone deserves a chance to fight for their freedoms and rights. Humans were part of the original alliance and council and were some of the most ruthless in battle. I do however understand your hesitance." She reached for her glass, the deep red liquid not giving away if it was wine or blood. "There's chatter than we have a seelie heir living in the city. The rumours have been there for years. As a council member I spent decades squashing that kind of talk. Now I want to know if it's true. A powerful Seelie on side could help our chances."

Mara was carrying a rather suspicious bundle and was struggling. Eventually she couldn't continue, and they fell out of her arms with a loud clatter and clanging, revealing the bundle to be a group of swords.

"Shit! Oh fuck," she muttered as she hurriedly did her best to wrap them all back up in the blanket she'd been carrying them in, hoping nobody had seen her.

Lucas had spotted Mara walking just a little ahead of him and seeing her struggle he jogged to catch up only just getting to her as she dropped the bundle in her arms. Seeing the swords a deep frown settled on his features and he knelt down next to her, putting his hand over hers. "Mara?"

He silent asked the question of what she was doing with them but didn't vocalise it. "I'll help you carry these. There's too many for you to hold."
