One of the hardest things about watching LOTMS is seeing Gerard in crisis and seeing those around him who love him doing their best to look out for him. And the past year we’ve gotten to see that same love and support while they seem to be doing so much better coping with things even through the pandemic. Because no matter how you’re coping, having friends by your side there for you is everything. (x, x)

man danger days is really the death of black parade. BLI’s colours being black and white? Gee’s red hair? Mikey letting his hair grow long and bleaching it? the bright colours? insanely colourful outfits and mismatched pieces? the whole message being about fighting and living and love and hope as compared to death and mourning? killjoys never dying? party poison being the direct opposite of the parader, full of hope and anger and LIFE? when they die, it’s heartbreaking but it’s for a cause, rather than being the event that starts the album it ends it? it IS the antithesis of everything black parade stands for. it’s bright and poppy and electric and loud but not in an angsty way, but in a fighting, pushing back way. they are unkillable but it comes differently than what you want. it’s divisive and a change in their style but GOD it’s so perfect and it still captures the whole message of mcr. don’t u see? it’s a perfect rebellion against their own image and society and expectations, it’s like the only way for them to have made something new was to absolutly kill the black parade and everything associated with it

my chemical romance is the funniest and weirdest band ever. They’re all fucking losers who would genuinely rather play dnd than hook up with groupies. The singer used to work at Cartoon Network. The bassist is on the fbi watchlist for crimes against disney. One guitarist is a guitar god but he also used to keep a little action figure of spiderman in his pocket all the time, the other is like a little lap dog of a man, but he’s also on the fbi watchlist for death threats against a us president. They refused to be on the twilight soundtrack, one of the most popular franchises at the time but then they preformed on yo gabba gabba and re-recorded one of their songs in simlish.

I’m on the photographer’s side here.

While it was crappy to deny the photographer food, he/she was denied A MEAL. For the wedding couple's chicken shit penury, HE/SHE RUINED THEIR ABILITY TO REVISIT THAT DAY FOR THE REST IF THEIR LIVES!

These are not the same in magnitude. People who respond in such a way are evil, which I rate much lower than stinginess, rudeness, or plain chicken shit. It is not a matter of the wedding party being right or good--they were not right and they were not good. It is a matter of scale and the proportion of reaction. The photographer's reaction was grossly disproportionate to the slight he suffered. It's the outrageous act of a spoiled rotten two-year old. It's like the death penalty for a speeding ticket.

Sadly, it's all too common these days: you offended me do I'm justified in ruining your life.

I have to assume he/she was to be paid for his/her services. But somebody treated him/her rudely, so ruining their memories of that day is OK?!

If the photographer's action seems justified to you, we will never understand one another, and I hope you seek spiritual and psychological help.

1) It was a personal favor that the photographer was offering, charging only $250 for an 8 hour day +editing and other services. For context, the average wedding photographer charges between $2k-2.5k. So she was offering her services at a one tenth of what they should charge. (Though they were not a professional, just a hobbyist)

2) They were expected to work non-stop throughout the 8 hour day, without food or water, in 110 degree heat.

3) Despite the fact that this was a personal favor from a friend, they were not saved a seat when dinner was served.

4) All the photographer asked for was 15 minutes to eat and get some water. In response the groom said if she stopped working, he wouldn't pay her. She asked if he was sure, and when he continued to threaten to withhold pay, THEN she deleted the photos and left.

This was a perfectly reasonable decision on behalf of the photographer. She was going out of her way for them for next to no pay and just wanted FIFTEEN MINUTES to refill her water bottles and rest. In response, the groom gave her an ultimatum and then doubled down on his threats.

What, did he expected to not pay her for her work AND receive the photos that she took?

Fun, someone said the words “prior authorizations” around me and now I’m pissed off at 730am on my day off. I go off on this rant all the time. ALL THE TIME.

Oof. This man gets it.

Every time I have to send a fax to a doctor saying “hey this med needs a PA” I get violently angry.

Hint: if your PA gets denied call your insurance and ask for the credentials of the person who made that call. Usually they will approve it instead of admitting they hired some 18-year-old with no relevant training or experience to scan for buzz-words and just deny everything

i have a weird appreciation for Baroque artists, in particular Francois Boucher and Peter Paul Rubens, for depicting the human body in lush detail at a time that predates the standards for bodies to be thin and airbrushed with no wrinkles or cellulite

it’s just really interesting to me

so many the things women are taught to hate about their bodies—pudgy bellies, fat rolls, double chins, and cellulite—used to be ideals of beauty shown in depictions of goddesses
