a six year old idea that i’m still apparently into: au where it was the water tribe who attacked, katara and sokka still found aang in the iceberg 100 years later, but then, kind of tried to kill him. luckily aang escaped in time to team up with a pair of plucky young fire nation siblings who ought to have inherited the throne, you know, if the water tribe hadn’t laid waste to their country. mostly, i just like drawing katara in military gear, and enjoy thinking about the political intrigue of two ruling branches of the water tribe.

This artist edited Moana into Katara and it’s kind of amazing???? Suddenly I’m thinking about some alternate version of Avatar, as a work of CG instead of 2D animation. And now I want to see even more characters rendered into CGI via photo manipulation. I can’t escape.

just for anyones information; my katara is not in a relationship with aang! i’d like to explore her more as a character before i start shipping with people, & when it comes to shipping, remember that chemistry is going to have a big part of it.

biting her tongue from saying anything, laughing at his posture & reaction, katara walks in & puts her stuff on the floor. the house was big, probably as big as her village. royalty always needed everything big & bigger, didn’t they? big egos, big houses, big everything —— too bad that their ambitions to help others wasn’t big enough. that still did little to put her mind at ease. they never knew if the fire lord decided to take a small vacation before the big blow, or maybe even one of his generals, anyone could show up here & if they saw them, if they saw aang –––– shaking her head out of the bad thoughts, she crossed her arms across her chest, mirroring his posture, more or less. ❛ you are not even sure yourself. weren’t you the one who said to be prepared, that you didn’t know what your father was thinking? it’s better to be alert than too relaxed, zuko. he can show up unexpectedly right now, too, you know. ❜
