Hyun woo’s face when he realized Hae in is still alive.

The second she realized what just happened.

Hyun woo is so devastatedly broken, absolutely crushed and it finally triggers something in Hae in. She’s witnessing her husband utterly destroyed about her death even though she’s in front of him, clearly alive.

And I’ve always loved how strong Hae in is and this is a great example. Hyun woo has been comforting her for several weeks through the loss of her grandpa and her lifestyle and her fortune and now she stepped up to comfort her husband. She says “it’s okay” with confidence and rubs the nape of his neck. 😍🥺

Has In’s eyes when she’s come to terms that she’ll do the surgery. I give props to Kim Jiwon for her stellar acting. She does such a wonderful job with her expressions.

Special mention to Hyunwoo crying right after seeing Hae-in off for her surgery. Man broke down so bad cause can you imagine:

- This was probably the last conversation he had with his wife with her memories still intact. He's kept it all in so well to ensure she gets the surgery but it sucks for him too. He's saying goodbye to the women he loves with promises, he doesn't know if he can keep, and no certainty of what the future holds.

-He's so relieved she'll get to live. The pain and anguish and potential terror of not seeing her again is all about to end. Haeina will live. (Hence the little laugh that immediately turns to full fledged crying again)

- Can you imagine loving someone with all your heart, making amazing memories with them and now when they're about to lose them all you've promised to help revive them - to make the other person fall for you. It must be so scary for him. He doesn't even know what the impact of the surgery will be. Will she be the same? I'm really gonna lose her for a while. Can I really make her love me again? What if she forgets me?

- All their memories are now essentially his only.

- He can't complain ever cause just having her live is a miracle. Not to mention, he's the one who convinced her for this.

What a suckish situation to be in. No wonder the boy cried his heart out.

tiny detail but I really love that haein and hyunwoo casually roast each other like this:

  1. hyunwoo saying, without missing a beat, "there are none" when haein asks him to include moving stories about her in her obituary
  2. haein fooling hyunwoo with the raccoon story
  3. hyunwoo asking "are you sure you'll get into heaven?" in ep 14 preview
  4. haein with the "how did you even get into SNU" which was very well deserved
