Just started my first 100 Days of Productivity!

Slowly creating my mood board as well

It’s getting pretty hard to be back on track. However my first day of Second year of Master’s degree is on Tuesday and I am determined to get the best of my last year in China. Starting with hsk 4 this morning.

Chrome extensions for language learning

TransOver: translates any word you find on a website. Provides multiple definitions for a single word, and has a lot of useful settings, such as font size, the option to chose which websites you don’t want it to translate on, or which websites you want it to exclusively translate on.

Readlang: translates any word you find on a website. Allows you to save words into a list that you can learn from later, along with the option to memorize them through pre-made flashcards. This extension only works if the website you’re visiting is of your target language.

Google Translate: similar to both extensions listed above, has less features, but more languages.

Language Learning With YouTube: this is an extension for learning a language while watching YouTube videos that already have subtitles or auto-captions. Its features include a pop-up dictionary, suggestions for the most important words to learn, and the option to have two subtitles playing at the same time.

Language Learning With Netflix: this extension is for learning a language while watching Netflix. It has the same features as Language Learning With YouTube; a pop-up dictionary, suggestions for the most important words to learn, and the option to have two subtitles playing at the same time.

hearing your target language in a random place and being able to understand even the smallest, tiny bit of what they’re saying is the best feeling in the whole wide world

Winter Studying Challenge

16th January: scarves or sweaters? Oh that's so hard! I think I prefer a really good scarf because you can look so cute in them, but they can get in the way! I like layers. This is the other angle of my kitchen. Sorry for posting so much in here and not my bedroom - I've found I'm more productive when my mum keeps me from being distracted.

27.04.16 don’t skive off school kids, unless you only have PE in the afternoon and there is a great coffeeshop round the corner to revise in

I slept 12 hours today and woke up feeling without tiredness. It’s not typical from me😳 But if I say that maybe it’s because last night I slept ONLY 4 hours, maybe this 12 makes sense🤣 Yesterday was hard and has a lot of good vibes: started with tha fact that I was with my mom in her workplace, in the hospital🤩

organic chemistry day: some amids and started amino acids today🧪✨

Is it me? Is it really me? Yes it is. I can’t believe it myself. But thanks to Headspace soundscapes, scented candles and very rainy weather it suddenly seems possible to work. Also slight change of perspective: I took my desk into the bedroom (after spending a whole semester with the same view, thanks to covid). Almost two weeks left until uni starts. Reading Le Monde until then, learning some French vocabulary and getting used to Notion while snacking on Christmas biscuits. It’s getting better, slowly but steadily.

2.1.21

finally back on campus and with a new view!! last semester was super rough. I’m so so happy to be here and to be catching up on prep work for this summer even though it's freezing here at the moment.

I’m reading about corn because I’m in ohio so what else :)
