*sigh* don't you ever wonder how it felt to be hit by someone. And no I meant literally. Well the funny thing is, that's how we first met. Was it a coincidence? Or was it the universe sending us a message? Well we'll find out.

As far as I know, our journey started in a strange way, but as we continued the bond...well, it grew stronger.

My name is Moon Jieun, and this is the story of how I met my first and last love.

My story starts here...

"JIEUN" my friend Haerin shouted into my ear. I winced and covered my ear dramatically "What do you want?" I asked rather irritated at her behavior, she darkly chuckled when she saw my expression. "Come on~, don't be so rude to your best friend" she pouted while my other friend scoffed to my right.

"You're acting all clingy again Haerin" Yunin stated out of pure annoyance "Well it's not my fault innit?" She said with an accent which made me burst out a laugh. "Just get it over with" I said.

She smirked and leaning in, whispering something in my ear which made me spit out my drink a little.

"I heard that Mark likes you"—

WAIT! THE STORY DOESN'T START HERE, LET'S GO BACK A LITTLE

𝙧𝙚𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙙...

"Have fun!" My mother shouts as I leave the house "Jieun pick up some ramen on your way back home!" My brother, Suhui, requested, I hurriedly put on my shoes, grabbing my backpack to hurry. I neatened my uniform and eventually stepped out the house "Bye!" I shouted last minute.

I put on my airpods and start listening to Fine by Taeyeon, she's a really good singer, can't relate :(. I continued walking to school checking my watch every once in a while to make sure I won't be late.

As I continue walking, I noticed a leaf falling from a single tree across the rode landing onto my head. Not gonna lie but it seemed quiet odd to me, a leaf fell from a tree and happens to land on my hair. I took the leaf and further examined it, it was just a regular leaf.

How ominous...

As I continue to have suspicions on the single leaf, I passed by a basketball court which was previously owned by the school but got abandoned after they built the gym. Seeing how many boys from my school still play there felt rather confusing for me to understand so I thought 'Seems they're not used to it yet'.

Passing by I felt something hard hit my head, and several heard whispers and mumbles from the basketball course. "Jongho you hit a girl!" A male student from the court stated slapping his friend's back in shock. One of the players came up to me eventually picking up the ball "Sorry about that miss, we didn't notice you walking by" he apologized nervously.

I would usually scold them for this but this doesn't seem like much of dilemma, I sigh and give him a genuine smile "It's alright, you're from Neo High right?" I asked as I noticed the symbol on his jersey and watched him pass the ball to the rest back at the court, he looked back at me with an unreadable expression.

"Ah yes, I am, the jersey explains everything"

I was rather shocked from his words and felt slightly embarrassed and stupid "Oh right, my apologies" I apologized formally, I check my clock and it's 30 minutes till class starts "I better be going, class is about to start" I announced.

"Hold on, I'll go with you" He insisted running towards a nearby bench, grabbing a black backpack. After saying goodbye to his fellow teammates/friends he ran back towards me.

"May I know your name?" I asked as we started walking together to school. "I'm Mark, Mark Lee" he introduced holding his hand out, I gladly took it with no hesitation "I'm Moon Jieun, I'm in class 1-A" I introduced as well.

"Ah no wonder, I'm in class 1-B" he said, we both got into the campus area and started walking to our respective classes "It was nice meeting you" I said and he only nodded walking further. I spotted my friends nearby talking to each other seems they're waiting.

"Haerin! Yunin!" I called out to my two friends, they both turned to me with wide smiles as Haerin came running up to me engulfing me into a big hug "Ack Jieun guess what!" She said shaking my shoulders. I looked at her confusingly while Yunin just looked quite intimidating so I asked "What's going on?".

"YUNIN HAS A CRUSH ON-" before Haerin could finish Mae tackled her making her fall to the ground "Don't you dare say it" Mae warned, I just giggled at my two friends "C'mon we don't have all day" I scolded pulling them away from each other as I was starting to get a bit uncomfortable of how close they were.

Fun fact: Yunin is lesbian so yeah, no surprise there. And Haerin well she's bisexual, and uhh the story of how we met....that's a different story. Me, I'm straight...I think 👀

I both pulled them into the school when class was about to start. "NOOOO" they complained while I dragged them in "Shut up brats" I snapped
