Spent a relaxing weekend at home cleaning and meal prepping before my first (of many) 12 days long week ahead. I am sure it’ll be intense, but I also know it’s going to be an incredible learning experience! • How was your weekend?
Taken from my studygram
a “too much of a wimp to post these on my studygram because it’ll ruin the feed but at the same time i love them too much not to post anywhere” kind of post :)
tbh had a productive morning, studied chemistry and read for a while and then went out with family the entire day! its! ok! to! take! breaks!
september will be kind. september will be magical. september will bring the missing energy. september will be working towards our goals and self. september will be a month full of growth.

was wondering if anyone would enjoy a vlog about the MUST VISIT bookshops here in London? I have 5 favourites but there’s loads i’d really recommend ✨let me know
“Sometimes, I feel the past and the future pressing so hard on either side that there’s no room for the present at all.”
— Evelyn Waugh, Brideshead Revisited (via books-n-quotes)

02/08/19 Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna
After visiting Empress Elizabeth’s palace my friends and I enjoyed some quality time in the park that surrounded it. I was dressed as a peasant but I sure felt like a princess for a moment, strolling down those paths like I owned them.
It’s so healing to wake up in a silent house and silently make your own coffee or tea and enjoy the beautifully intricate fullness of the morning silence while remaining calm and collected and unbothered by all outer and inner noise and it’s so low-key elevating and pacifying to rejoice in the silent atmosphere of your own house and just silently block the rest of the world…it’s a slice of heaven

studying in odd, plant-filled corners
Sundays in East London: quieter roads, sleepy cafés; cyclists with bike baskets full of flowers, plantain, radishes, bread, newspapers; dogs on their walks, endless cobbled streets. The air is warm but not heavy at all––perfect for writing 😌
hey i know we’re all made to feel guilty for it, but u don’t need to wait for your energy reserves to get to 0% before you allow yourself to take a break and recharge.
i don’t force my phone to hit zero before i plug it in, or else it takes ages for it to even turn back on, and ages longer to get it to a level where I’m comfy taking it out of the house. similarly, pushing yourself to use up the last dregs of energy is gonna slow you down for way longer than you need.
take a break when you can (regardless of whether you ‘deserve’ it!) and do what you need to recharge.
a bitter sweet letter to myself whilst i indulged in the croissant craving i had this morning + using my new tv dinner table that i bought for my reading corner (unreasonably happy with my purchase) ↓
‘to the future me that feels too ugly to leave the house,
maybe you are, maybe you are ugly. but guess what? it doesn’t matter! you could be the ugliest being in the entire universe & it still wouldn’t change the amount of value and worth you have as a person — what matters is your favourite book, your favourite song, the way your dog reacts when you come home, the way your heart feels full when you achieve something. what matters is not how beautiful you are, but how beautiful life is.’
