Happy Year of the Dragon!

I love the idea of kintsugi so here's a porcelain dragon that highlights the broken seams with gold. Despite all the pains of hardships in life, we are beautiful.

it’s just all so stupid bc the ppl that get mad when you β€œβ€˜make everything about race” seem to not understand that it literally..is all about race, you are more likely to have asthma and allergies and breathing problems if u live close to large populations of black people bc during segregation and redlining less diverse sexed trees were planted in the areas made up of predominantly black and brown people, black people have higher rates of plant related allergies and higher rates death from asthma bc young male trees were planted in addition to poor conditions regarding pollution, redlined areas get worse treatment structurally, if u live in a city u are more likely to die from lung cancer bc of segregation, and ppl act like im just saying stuff and making shit up and it’s like no dude statistically that is the truth, it should bother u that u get the short end of the stick simply bc some government official didn’t want black ppl to have β€œgood” stuff

Race is one of if not the determining factor for ones proximity to landfills, waste sites, industry/manufacturing plants, fuel refineries, fracking/extraction, etc.. It's wild that people don't understand that or deny it bc you can literally spend sometime outside and see it. You can look up the toxic donut in Chicago and cancer alley on Louisiana and see it. Look up the willow project and see it. Look where Genocide Joe was trying to build new LNG terminals and see it. Everything is about race.

Absolute biggest bipedal fuck-up is that we can't lie down and look forward comfortably.

Dogs and cats and cows are out there lying down in the grass and just seeing everything and what do we have? Lie on your stomach and fuck up your neck? Lie on your back and shove 400 pillows under your head? Lie on your side and just accept everything's fucking sideways? I hate this fucking evolutionary form

Becoming one of those deranged "I trained myself to move around like a horse" tiktokkers but it's just how to lie down and look forward at the same time.

I want what he has

can we go back to the trained themselves to move like a horse tiktokkers

can we go back to

the trained themselves to move like

a horse tiktokkers

best way I have found to comfort people who are endlessly apologetic of things outside their control (often as a result of shitty relationships) is the jokingly hyperbolic accusation of [gasp] "so you're behind it all!"

like someone giving me directions who starts apologizing profusely when I miss a light as if it's their fault--[gasp] "it was you who petitioned city council to build this intersection in 1893!!" because it snaps them out of it and they laugh like. oh yeah. that's a ridiculous thing to blame someone for. I'm not that guy. you're not that guy. it works.

It does work! I like when people do that because not only am I reassured that they're not mad, I get to respond, "Yes! I did it! You have uncovered my sinister centuries-long plan!" etc.

Reblog if they have uncovered your sinister centuries-long plan

IOF soldiers dressed like civilians raided the Ibn-Sina hospital in Jenin and killed 3 injured Palestinians

Basil Al-Ghazawi was injured by the IOF in the targeted missile attack explosion inside the Jenin cemetery on October 25th.

He has been receiving treatment in the hospital for more than three months, and terrorist special forces murdered him today in the hospital room while he was sleeping with his older brother and their friend.

The three young men murdered brutally by the IOF in this hospital raid are:

Basil Al-Ghazawi,

His brother, Mohammad Al-Ghazawi,

and their friend, Mohammad Al-Jalamneh.

Know their names. We are not numbers.

guys i actually beg of you to not let palestine become an unpleasant flashback, a transient tumblr trend, a hasbeen subject that just faded away. as an arabβ€”and specifically iraqiβ€”girl, i know what it feels like to have family displaced all over the world as a result of western imperialism. i know what it feels like to not be able to step foot into your homeland because it’s no longer safe. as an american iraqi, raised in the us and insulated from my roots, it wasn’t until last summer that i was able to visit iraq for the first time, and even then my family was worried for my safetyβ€”in my own blood country. although nothing like what palestinians are experiencing right now, it might be the tiniest semblance of what it feels like to watch your country disintegrate in front of you.

and this is a universal arab experience. i volunteer weekly at a refugee center that serves middle eastern refugees, and every day i see the longing in their eyes when they speak of where they hail from. it’s safe to say that we will be getting a wave of palestinian refugees very soon: just another generation of arabs who can’t inhabit their own country.

arab culture is so rich, so profound, so beautiful. i am tired of being told by the worldβ€”through literal genocideβ€”that it doesn’t mean anything. please never let this be forgotten. free palestine. free palestine. free palestine.
