Okay so I finished Yuwu quite some time ago (can't remember when lol) and when I started it, I didn't know it would have similarities to Mo Dao Zu Shi (the gateway drug. Still my favorite after having read quite a bit of danmei by now) but I immediately recognized the similarities and it just boggled my mind how nobody ever talked about it. Then I was going through the AO3 tag one day after finishing and!! There's your fic!! And then I proceeded to put it off for the longest time because I was Not Ready for the pain. Finally decided to read it. Just finished the first in the series and I was Not Ready. Also I just wish Yuwu wasn't so underrated, especially when MDZS has such a large fandom. I mean, they're obviously two very different stories, but Wangxian and Ximang have so many similarities that I have a joint playlist for them that lasts five hours (different MDZS and Yuwu playlists outside of that one though, including one where Mo Xi's hardest hitting betrayal angst goes). They are similar while also being different! It's perfect for MDZS fans!! Alas... ANYWAY, I just wanted to say thanks for recognizing and writing the beauty that is these four thrown together. The Wei Wuxian and Gu Mang friendship is everything to me now. Off to read the next two in your series, haha. Wish me luck...
