Stealing Gifs Is Not Okay! 📢
I hate this when this happens to the gif making community! We all put time and effort into coloring/editing gifs and making our own artistic alterations to them. However, some bottom of the barrel parasites think it’s not that hard and okay to edit/steal from others. It’s happened to a few of my friends the last few weeks ahead of a fandom event. Some have reached out to this person to stop and the gif thief ignores, deletes the tweet on Twitter and posts it again later, like nothing happened. He will even go as far as editing out the watermarks after the gif artist confronts them and add their own watermark!!!
These tweets get over 100 likes while tagging big fandom accounts for Cloti and Zerith, and their prospective event pages!
Mike22Marvel/Mike22Strife is profiting off of gifmakers such as @simnes, @lockescoles and @thechocobros! Please give these amazing gif artists a follow and reblog for their beautiful work! They deserve all the creditk. Some of gifs and art that is stolen is reuploaded to his Tumblr as well, not just Twitter. Block his tumblr to prevent the theft!
After confronting him today, he blocked me on Twitter and he claimed it was totally in his right to do that since he did his own edits to them and gif makers aren’t real artists anyway since they don’t draw like he does (and we gif makers are jealous of that!). 😂🤣😂 That made me laugh how pretentious he is while stealing gifs from all of us!
