Summary:
Professor Robert 'Hob' Gadling's life is tipped ass over tea kettle when a major celebrity scandal brings singer Morpheus Des Sablières spiraling into the New Inn to hide from the paparazzi.
Between being outed in the worst way and breaking up with his band mid-tour, Morpheus' public image is at risk, —and when Hob is spotted with him, he's assumed to be the other man in the leaked sex tape, which threatens his own career in academia.
The PR team offers the only option that could absolve them both: Pretend to be long-term partners and go public to court sympathy—with all the press and events that entails.
Once Morpheus launches his solo career and interest in Hob wanes, they can go their separate ways. But by the time that happens, it could be too late for Hob to let go.
