Important

It’s been a long time since there’s been updates, for that I am deeply sorry.

We did continue to work on the game, however I am now alone and indecisive. I can not promise anyone whether F.E will exist in any format but I’m hoping I will make it into something after all.

I have no experience with programming, and I have no desire for another programmer. There is no ill will between me and Nya - it was a hard decision for her to make. I’ve had a lot of time mulling over what to do and nothing as of yet is a solid answer to me.

Thus this is on an indefinite hiatus.

Happy Holidays to all!!!

We’ve been quietly continuing with the game development, all the characters for the game were finished being designed in sprite form back in October. Have occasionally nudged a few people now and then with the progress but we are still working. We have had a few breaks though - I went to Disneyland Paris, hence deciding to scribble a character in a rubber-hose way. >>U<)

We hope you all are having wonderful holidays, whether you celebrate any of the current festivities or not! <3

🎃 Happy Halloween and Seasonal Greetings!!!  🎃

I adore Veynn’s Noël so very much and had been planning to draw this for quite some time, asked for her permission to create this crossover of Esme and Noël in costumes! I kept to their colour themes and replicated idea of a seasonal postcard, after a comment Veynn made mid-creation.

It was a ton of fun drawing them together, as always, and look forward to drawing more often.

In terms of the game, progress is being made - the majority of the characters are designed in sprite form B&W.

Personal life has slowed things down, but both of us are still working very hard where time allows. We’re always learning something new and fun!

If you had to ship Noël with another character from any other game, who would you ship him with??? Sowey I just wanted to ask an unusual question XD

Aaaah, this is such a cute question anon!!

Well, I don’t actually ship Noël with anyone in-game or otherwise except with happiness, but I friend-ship him with Esme from Fragmented Eve due to their whole dynamic as the ‘dorky edgelord and meme queen’.

Another friend-ship would be Aria from Aria’s Story considering how they’re both bookworms and love sweets and rabbits. I can definitely see them starting a book club together! They can also bond over being the shortest in their group of friends.

Was drawing Esme adding crayon drawings to their books but then decided they can all encounter a spooky book.

Hi! How are you doing? How's progress? ^_^

Hello anon!

Pfft, we are on a semi-hiatus. I personally have slowed things down thanks to looking at different art styles and things to put into both Fragmented Eve and Punctured Lure - its sister game we did for Game Jam that is incomplete and will be redone as well. Its tumblr page is under construction at the moment.

I wanted to do a few art experiments and my style is changing slightly. I’ve been playing around with brushes and using more references. I haven’t changed the maps’ styles however. Everything is pretty high saturated as always. I looked into these styles so I could draw paintings and posters in the game really!!!

Thank you for asking and your continued support!

Art practices included drawing like this a lot:

Are you looking for additional team members?

Hey anon,

Currently we aren’t looking for any members, but perhaps in the future we shall. :>

I haven’t drawn people in a while because of mapping and writing. Decided to get back into looking at references and decided to draw Esme again. It’s not very plot related, I just felt like using her to test brushes and the like!

iiiiiii love the idea for this game sdfgh !!

Oh Anon! I’m sorry for the late reply!

We hadn’t expected any messages and have been working on the writing. (Basically deciding on quite a bit of the plot lately, fiddling here and there with what we have.)

Thank you for the kind words! We hope we bring something interesting to the table!

P.S Thank you for being our first Anon messenger 👍

Welllll what better way to spend the time I lost my tablet pen than to sprite some characters from favorite games/projects I’ve been following for a while and I’m looking forward to play/pal’s ocs in the style I use for my own game? I know it’s not perfect but I’m settling on it, because it was more of an exercise too, and I’m exhausted of it orz

Take this moment to make my own “here are a few dev blogs/games I recommend” list

1st line

2nd line:

3rd line:

4th line:

This is not All of the devs I support (my supporting list grows very fast jsyk), and I apologize if you don’t see yours here, but eh, I’m just human and I can’t catch up/remember all of them… Again, sorry. But hey this is just a tiny teeny, scrappy sprite sheet, there will be much much more coming to you, hunny, I’m sure! 😉

Also, for those who don’t know me yet, check out my own devblog @pollinating-games because I am a shameless pos :y

They all look so good Biel!!! But, of course, I’m going to shamelessly love Esme and how you managed to include the detailing on her dress. >u>

Happy our darling made it among all these great characters. Thank you <3

Art by: Biel, dev of Moacir - please take the time to check out their work!! Art blog: [x] Dev blog: [x]

A piece drawn a while back, but still adore. I had intended to post this sooner with permission but I kept forgetting to ask. I love their style and the detailing in the dress. I was overjoyed to receive this and still absolutely love it.

Hey everyone,

I managed to resolve my technical issues so I will be continuing the designs and mapping work. We looked over our plot a whole bunch during the semi-hiatus so it’s been expanded upon. The majority of the characters have their main ideas grounded now as well.

Thank you for your continued support,

- Zoe

Hey everyone,

I know we’re quite an inactive pair with sharing the development but things are still underway. However, I’m currently experiencing some technical difficulties and as such can’t create art or updates at the present time.

We have been working on the plot in the meantime and all the files have been backed accordingly. Before the issues arose we were working on six maps with differing levels of progress. Three characters, including Esme, have been designed and sprites drafted.

We’d like to thank you all for your continued support and understanding! We haven’t lost hope!

Your artwork for Fragmented Eve is super pretty, and Strawberry delicious. What was the process you did to make a truly sweet scenario like the chapel? ^O^

Avatar

Step One: Pick your favourite strawberry, perhaps even a selection

Step Two: Stab them with a knife until they turn into paste

Step Three: Apply using a paintbrush to your canvas and question your life choices

OR rather, what actually happened…

Jokingly make a scribble of a chapel, have programmer recreate using tiles. Draw over tiles beyond recognition and add your own flourishes, look for a theme and follow it. Stare at your programmer’s interpretation and pick out what exactly made things click for you, apply said things as much as you can. She had this great palette and now it’s stuck.

When I say draw over tiles I mean that literally, since I can’t draw cats and combining the strawberry head and statue part was tricky.

My advice is live with the ugly stages of the map because with care, you can drag it all through. What was most important was making it all line up on a grid. Spacial awareness is fundamental. When I added all those pews I had to still think where you could walk.

In all honesty, did not expect the whole strawberry theme to emerge initially but since it has I can’t ever look back.

Have been working on maps lately; creating wallpapers, rearranging how you get from A to B and redesigned the entire layout of one room in particular. Learning a lot of stuff this week. Sorry for the lack of updates, there is progress but it’s mostly on things we were already tackling.

That lilypad map I previewed for everyone was a beast to clean up but its reaching completion - changed quite a bit in that map as well. Small changes, but enough to drive me mad haha!

Take your time Zoe! I’ll be here cheering you on. You can take 10 years until your next update. I’ll still be here cheering you on.

Eeee~ I can’t make people wait that long!!! Surely?? Thank you for always being supportive
