 this tumblr (and the sideblogs connected to it, namely my FO4 one) is going bye bye and I’m starting over fresh. I realized that it’s been at least three years if not more since I started this tumblr and 2019 me is very different from 2016 me.

Not going to lie, it’s going to be mostly FF14 based, because I don’t really want to do anything too personal on tumblr anymore. If you’re not interested, I understand. One of the reasons that I’m deleting this tumblr is because I had a tendency to over-share and these days, I am more inclined to remain a mystery to my internet friends save a few. (and you guys have my discord! Which will also be available freely on my new tumblr)

I may start using pillowfort more for personal talk since I can lock that so not any rando can see it.

Haven’t picked a new tumblr name yet, will let you guys know when I do. Again, I understand if you’re not interested or if you just want to stick to pillowfort and my personal life.

Call-outs

A. Should be backed by unquestionable and up to date information. 

Logs can be doctored or even cherry-picked, so consider that. Also unless there’s a recent pattern of this behavior, anything older than a year shouldn’t be held against a person. Either way, have PROOF before making a call-out.

B. Should be used as a last-ditch solution.

Sometimes it’s a matter of poor communication leading to misunderstandings. Sometimes disabilities can even lead to said misunderstandings, or just a lack of proper social skills. If you’ve tried to talk to and get through to the person, or if they’re a bonafide incorrigible major predator/abuser, drag ‘em. Call-outs do, inevitably, lead to nasty Anons. I wish they didn’t, but I don’t think that’s anything anyone can stop. On Tumblr, a post lives forever so long as at least one person reblogs it, meaning that person’s identity is given a permanent stamp of disapproval. So you really need to consider that calling someone out isn’t all glitter and rainbows, and should only be used if there’s no other choice.

C. Should benefit the community.

Calling out your ex or your former RP partner because you had a bad breakup or butted heads doesn’t benefit the community. Does this person engage in patently abusive behavior? Are they a sexual predator? A scammer? And they’re likely to take on more victims? You’re essentially protecting the community from this person’s actions by making a call-out. People don’t need protection from your isolated personal quarrels, so don’t use call-outs as a “personal army” or to vent.

D. Should also allow a person to grow.

Sometimes people are just so caught up in their own egos that they simply can’t understand why and how their actions are damaging when they’re only hearing it from one or two people. Once they’re put on blast, it may serve as a wake-up call and they may realize their faults and actively work to fix them, while admitting that yeah, they fucked up. You don’t have to forgive someone who hurt you, but understand that people are capable of growing and changing. If someone’s apology seems wholly selfless and genuine, live and let live.

tips for bonding with the sky

Moon go outside at night, even if it’s just on your balcony. be aware of moon phases and use them in your spell work or monthly routine. on the full moon, take advantage of the extra light to go on a hike or walk at nighttime. or take the time to do some extra divination. charge or cleanse your magickal tools in the moonlight. make the moon a member of your witchy family by talking to her, or praying to her. make an altar for the moon or a moon deity. make art of or about the moon. carry around moonstone or other lunar symbolism.

Sun do sun meditations as often as possible. spend time in the sunlight and be active, try hiking or swimming. start a garden, particularly sun related plants such cacti or sunflowers. make sun tea or make and cook in a solar oven. wear warm colors such as yellow, orange, and red. make an altar to the sun or a sun deity, outside altars or window altars would be great for this. use stones such as amber, obsidian, or sandstone. eat or work with fruit, especially citrus. compost. use happy music as a source of light. hang up a sun catcher in your window.

Stars familiarize yourself with constellations and astronomical events, such as meteor showers. get a telescope or binoculars for a better look. try to travel to somewhere with less light pollution or go to a planetarium. Learn about stellar mythology - the myths behind “Orion” or “Cassiopeia” for example. become comfortable with nocturnal animals (just don’t get near any wild ones). start logging your dreams and interpreting them. learn to simple sleep spells.

Clouds learn to predict the weather from the clouds. put up wind chimes, wind socks or pinwheels outside. spend time near fresh water, such as creeks or ponds, on sunny days. make cloud related diy’s. take photos of the sky, draw or paint them. learn about folklore or mythology of clouds, wind, or rain.

Storm collect rainwater for spellwork. do rain grounding by running around on rainy days and getting wet all over. make an altar for storms or a storm deity. pay attention to storm omens. make art about storms, water colors can be associated with rain. use the days when you are stuck inside to practice kitchen witchcraft or other indoor crafts. treat stormy days as a chance to take care of yourself and your home.

Also, because H was sometimes treated as a vowel when the grammar rules for thou/thee/thy/thine were formed,THINE can also be used for words beginning with H. For example, both “thy heart” and “thine heart” appear in Elizabethan poetry.

For consistency, however, if you’re saying “thine eyes”, make sure you also say “mine eyes” instead of “my eyes”.

Thou/thee/thine is SINGULAR ONLY.

Verbs with “thou” end in -st or -est: thou canst, thou hast, thou dost, thou goest.  Exception: the verbs will, shall, are, and were, which add only -t: thou wilt, thou shalt, thou art, thou wert.
