For those who haven't read Seasons, here's the pitch:
An immortal man has the ability to wish for fatherhood, and using the stores of his magic, can birth (no preganncy) children into existence.
Depending on what season and conditions they're born within, they'll represent that season.
He has three children.
Eldon, the oldest, was born during the snowfall in winter.
Howie, the character who has the most focus in this story, was born from the last leaf in autumn. He's the middle child.
Beau, the youngest, was born from a red tulip.
What a beautiful way to be born, isn't it? But Dear Old Papa has paused their ages so that they're all indefinitely living decades of childhood. None of them are growing up. The household is isolated "for their protection", but none of the children know why.
Howie is a curious boy who can't help but dig for answers. It becomes clear that maybe the people he needs protected from most of all are his fathers.
The story is about favoritism, generational abuse, sibling bonding, trauma, magic, and family secrets.
If you haven't checked it out, I'm reposting the story right now (I posted it to completion last year, then ended up adding more, but it's 360k+ words and over 90 chapters in the revised version). There are only five chapters up now, but feel free to indulge in them. ;)
