The worst thing about this giant crush is he can’t even talk to anyone about it.

Lip knows, but he doesn’t get it.

Mandy doesn’t know, and she can’t.

And Mickey won’t talk about it.

He makes all these comments, acts like he doesn’t care, and most of the time Ian thinks he can see straight through it. Every now and then, though, he wonders, wishes Mickey would just be honest for once and tell him what he’s really thinking. It’s not like they need to be boyfriends or whatever, but a little more give and take would be nice.

okay but the fact that in s7 ian met up with mickey, had sex with him, stayed the night spooning and smelling him + running away with him (almost) shows that if mickey wasn’t a fugitive he would have gone back to him in 0.0001 seconds.

i know the writer weren’t that smart considering they wanted mickey out after that season but let’s pretend it was all calculated. ian was 100% trying to distance himself from his feelings both for mickey’s and his own sake ( 15 years in prison + mickey ‘worrying watching’ etc. ) but the moment he’s out and ian can touch him there’s no going back, everything he tried to keep hidden just came forward all at once and i really like to believe he legit couldn’t get him out of his head from s6 to s9 ( has he ever? he considered mickey his sort of boyfriend after mickey said ‘you’re nothing but a warm mouth to me’ )

i know ian had a very important development through the mickeyless seasons but i can’t help wondering how different things would have played out if mickey was there to really support him through it all. he had had a bunch of boyfriends but none of them really gave a shit imo. one wanted to make his family angry by showing up with a guy and the other one… dismissing your boyfriend’s complicated feelings towards his mother, his mental health, insisting he’s attracted to you when it’s not etc.
