“That constellation is called ‘the goddess shield’, do you see how it curves in front of ‘the goddess’ constellation?” Tanya said, arm pointed out and up, tracing the shape with her fingertip.

Mileena, wide eyed and still so endearingly in awe of the sheer beauty of the stars above, looked intently at the shape.

“A warrior,” Mileena said quietly.

Tanya rattled out several more constellations, making sure to point them out and wait for Mileena to find them. She was in awe of all of them and the little stories that Tanya could dredge up from her childhood memories. Most of them she did not remember, but Mileena ate up the ones that she did, eyes wide and pupils as round as round could be and purring softly as happy Tarkatans did when they were safe. It made Tanya smile, much like almost everything that Mileena did.

“Which one is your favorite, dearest?” Tanya asked.

“The goddess,” Mileena said. “She is a warrior queen.”

“Much like you are, my sweet kahnum,” Tanya smiled, grinning when Mileena blushed and huffed cutely.

“I would hardly call myself a warrior queen…” Mileena said quietly.

“Even if you don’t have a kingdom, my sweet, you will always be a rightful queen in my eyes,” Tanya smiled, rolling onto her side to reach over and gently cup Mileena’s jaw and loving the way that Mileena turned red. “And a warrior, no doubt. Only a blind fool would say otherwise.”

Mileena huffed quietly, turning onto her side to face Tanya.

“I only fight as well as I do because I am fueled by my love for you,” Mileena said quietly.

Tanya’s eyebrows hitched up and then, goodness, it was her turn to blush. It seemed that heaping flowery words onto Mileena enough had allowed her wonderful wife to learn a few things. And, goodness, now Tanya was blushing herself when it was usually the other way around. But she just smiled and scooted closer until she could kiss Mileena’s cute nose.

“We make an excellent pair then, don’t we? My sweet Mileena,” Tanya sighed happily.

Mileena purred loudly, tilting her head to kiss Tanya sweetly on the lips.

“What is your favorite constellation?” Mileena asked.

“All the stars in the sky pale to your lustrous shine, my love.”

Mileena giggled quitely girlishly as she turned red to her eyes and Tanya just smiled.

Mortal Kombat 11 Unused Intros: Shao Kahn vs. Tanya

Tanya was removed from MK11 at the last second. She was planned to be on the initial roster but the development team wanted more room for other characters. Most of the dialogue for her intros were removed from the final game. This intro is the one exception. And if you read this far you’ll realize that you've been fooled by the Shao Kahn Bot. Happy April Fools, suckers!
