DiVA is gonna disband by the end of the year.
But prior to that, they will change their names to DIVA and Masuda Yuka will come back to the unit.
released their 4rth single on october 8th, their 1st album later and hold a final live concert.
It's on iTunes Japan, so please buy it if you're able to!

This is Sayaka's first stage play from way back in 2008. You can't get the DVD anymore since it was made to order, so thanks to the kind person who hunted this down and shared it!

I'll miss your funny antics with the other members.
Songs like Blue Rose, Sougen no Kiseki and Uhho Uhhoho will never be the same without you.
Your existence in AKB can never be replaced.
But I believe that there are bigger and better things waiting for you, and I can't wait to see how your career progresses from now on.
You've given us so much, and I hope that you felt the love from all the other members as well as all your fans tonight.

The Akimoto Sayaka that I know: #14 Her dad is banned from the AKB theatre
Sayaka's parents came to her birthday show back in 2006. Sayaka's dad told Togasaki who he was, and got free admission to the theater.
Her dad had with him a can of Shochu (a type of liquor), which he opened and drank while watching the live. As a result of all that alcohol, he caused a disturbance during the live, and was led out of the theater by the staff. Her dad was banned from the theater for his behavior.
Sayaka saw the whole thing while she was performing on stage.
The Akimoto Sayaka that I know: #13 Her AKB relationships
In the extras of the AKB to XX! DVD (Volume 7), Sayaka was asked to make a relationship chart with AKB members. This is how it was like:
Father: Takahashi Minami Mother: Miyazawa Sae Elder sister: Shinoda Mariko Younger sister: Nakagawa Haruka Younger brother: Matsui Jurina Cousins: Noro Kayo, Ohori Megumi Lover: Katayama Haruka
Close friends: Kobayashi Kana, Yuko, Sae Rival: Yuko Transfer student: Tomochin A person she is interested in: Suzuki Mariya She's great!: Yokoyama Yui
Takamina would be Sayaka's father, since Sayaka sees her as a source of support and a pillar of AKB. She watches over the members like how a father would watch over his children.
Sae as her mum might seem surprising, but Sae always helps Sayaka out before she goes on stage. She would help Sayaka tie her necktie and arrange it properly, straighten out the wrinkles in her socks and skirt, adjust her collar and such. Sae doesn't like it when things are untidy or not in order. In that sense, Sae is very mother-like.
Mariko would always give Sayaka fashion advice, and tell her if something suits her. Sayaka also finds her dependable. Harusan would be her younger sister as she has an eternal younger sister type of character, despite being 20 already when the video was filmed. Jurina has more of a cool character, and thus would be her younger brother.
Sayaka likes Haachan and thinks she is a Japanese beauty. Haachan has slept over at Sayaka's place as well.
Sayaka listed Nontii and Meetan as her cousins since they were both in SDN.
And on Sayaka's friends...
Sayaka is known to be close to Sae, Yuko and Kana, and their relationship deserves a post by itself. Sayaka and Yuko also see each other as rivals, pushing each other to do better and supporting each other as well.
As for Tomochin being the transfer student that Sayaka is concerned about, that's because the first round of shuffling had just happened, and Tomochin was transferred from Team A to K, thus being a "transfer student". She finds Tomochin cute, but at the same time, there were rumours going around that they didn't get along. Sayaka felt bothered by that since they had actually been talking a lot. She hopes to get along even better with Tomochin.
Mariyannu is somewhat similar in personality with Kana, and Sayaka says that she is a natural airhead. Sayaka thinks that Mariyannu won't even notice when she's been tricked. When Sayaka greets her, saying "Hello Baka", Mariyannu replies "Hello, Gorilla".
Sayaka finds Yui different from the other Kenkyuuseis, and thinks that she has the looks of an actress. Sayaka praises Sasshi as someone who works hard, and respects her for her effort. She thinks that Kitarie looks like an actress on her rest day.
