An au where mirabel did get a gift. Being able to fix things with her sewing/ sewing things to life.

Shes the go to seamstress of encanto.

And very, very busy.

And if someone else winds up giftless…. How about isabela or camilo?

(i cant make it antonio hes too pure)

Okay, so let's change things up a bit, and make Isabela the gift less one.

  • When the first ceremony of the 3rd generation arrived, everyone was obviously excited.
  • Isabela Madrigal, the first Madrigal of the 3rd generation, would get her gift.
  • But it didn't go as planned...
  • Instead of receiving a door illustration and a gift upon touching the doorknob, Isa's door faded in front of her, along with her gift...
  • Everyone, especially Alma, was quite surprised by this. Maybe the candle doesn't grand the third generation a gift?
  • But that theory gets disproven when it was Dolores' 5th birthday, and Alma decided to test it again.
  • Everyone was surprised once again, when Dolores did get a gift, superhearing.
  • From that day on, Isabela was treated differently by her Abuela as well as the townspeople. She had to watch as her sisters and cousins all get gifts while she, as the oldest grandchild, didn't get one.
  • Abuela would treat her quite harsh. She would ignore,
  • The townspeople called her all sorts of things...

"What a failure."

"Look, it's the unlucky one!"

"You'll never make your family proud after that flop that was your ceremony."

"The oldest grandchild without a gift? How sad..."

"Your Abuela must be very disappointed of you."

  • It made Isabela feel like she had failed her family as the oldest, supposed most mature and responsible one of the 3rd generation...
  • And it didn't help that she had to sleep in the nursery, even at the age of 21...
  • She had to stand by the side as her mother and sisters did wonderful things with their gifts. Healing through food, super strength, and fixing things through sewing? How amazing...
  • Surprisingly though, Isabela was quite close with Mirabel, since Mira had basically grown up with her oldest sister by her side in the nursery!
  • (So Mira would eventually have a mental breakdown because of all the stress and pressure she was put on by Abuela, and Isa comforting her)
  • This counts for Antonio as well. And because of Pepa and Félix's duties around town, Isa was basically raising Tonito...
  • It even got to the point where he even called Isa Mamá and, despite trying to correct him every time, never grew out of...
  • Oops... O.O

Cerrit made an impossible promise to his family that he would go back to them. All the other members of the Ring of Brass knew there was no way out for them, but Cerrit may have that chance. During the fight, Nydas inspired Cerrit with a bardic inspiration as he embraced what was to come, before being struck down by his own creation and fulfilling the promise he made to his best friend. Nydas had everything and lost everything, and when he had nothing left to give, he gave himself for them, running into the fray with just a meager life in him left. To Nydas, even when the end is nigh, there is no wrong in dreaming for something better, and he did so for Cerrit. Patia, before her death, sent the Orb transcribed with all her life’s knowledge to Cerrit’s daughter. Bearer of the Por'co name, she held that vast archive with Avalir as the base of her dream. She never thought about her parents before all of this, but she sees Cerrit with a daughter of vast intellect that is yet to endure this Calamity. Patia made sure to bring them hope in an impending desolate world with the knowledge of the Tree of Names she bore. Patia’s knowledge that her family selfishly owned, now given to Maya, Cerrit’s daughter, to bear and give fruit. Laerynn gave Cerrit all the intricacies and details of the Labyrinth to make sure he finds the exit, giving him the advantage. All her life she had been going up and about these halls, dreaming of a future where she can be above the gods. Yet, Laerynn uses her knowledge and life’s work one last time, after dooming the world and averting its inevitable end, to give hope for his friend to return to his family. Laerynn’s greatest work, her magnum opus, she utilizes as a tool to bring Cerrit home. Loquatious passed him his Pact Talisman Boon, something he had likely kept since his time in the Feywilds and meant a great deal to him. Loquatious, the man who killed the truth far too many times, sees Cerrit who, in his mind, told a lie to his family that he will go back to them. And so, Loquatious gives life to Cerrit’s promise, a lie that now became truth. And there’s Zerxus, who seemingly didn’t seem to have a hand in aiding Cerrit. Yet just moments before, Cerrit followed Zerxus closely as the paladin went to meet his son one last time. Cerrit sees a man with such little time left to make sure his son was safe. A final goodbye, no promise made for his return, and the devastation in Elias’ eyes seeing his own father, the first knight of avalir, a bastion of protection, in his demonic form, farther away from him than he already was before. Zerxus, keeper of oath, broke the father’s vow that tore the heart of his child asunder, and Cerrit is given a new drive to make sure he does not make the same mistake, and to keep the vow he just made to his family. Cerrit, now bearing all these blessings and escaping Avalir successfully, tunes in with his friends one last time, not to thank them for their help, but to give back the hope that they gave him, so that even in their end it still burns brightly in their hearts as they go. “The Ring of Brass endures.”

So alongside Loquatius turning into each of the ring of brass during sex, Laerryn 100% had him turn into her on multiple occasions so she could fuck herself, right? I truly believe that Laerryn took one look at this fucking changeling and went ‘interesting, I can work with this’ and then proceeded to answer the age old question of would you fuck your clone with an enthusiastic yes

Fearne tells Delilah "we made a promise, bitch", because she brushed the hair out of Laudna's face and told her she was sorry, and that they'd find a way back for her, and she meant it. Honesty and lies and promises are a little different, to her. (to fey). Fearne lies, often and easy and for fun, but she made a promise, and she meant it. Fearne came into this haunted Whitestone and admired its beauty, complimented the flora. Fearne went "Oh, I see." looking up at the shape of a tree that haunts Laudna's past.

Fearne looked at this immense, majestic tree, trapping Laudna away. Watched it catch ablaze, and did everything in her power to finish burning it to the ground. She made a promise. She's keeping it.

We all blame Sam for the ads (understandably) but we're also witnessing in real time Sam go "haha imagine if i did an ad where i jumped out of a plane and did an ad read before pulling the parachute" and Marisha's first response is a "Well, you know what- hm- how expensive is it to skydive-"

Just a lil modern AU… We all gotta cope somehow ok!? I just hope we’ll get to see Laudna come back

History major Imogen - Archivist Laudna Also, imagine evil Dean of the Faculty Delilah and tyrannic Head of History Department Otohan… Also, I like the idea of Laudna as a vampire and thrall of Delilah…. So Chetney has to appear somewhere……….. Oh I know! He’s the master carpenter for the Film and Theater department! and also a werewolf!!! Which obviously brings Dark Magic Cosmic Horror/cultist Otohan and Imogen dragged into it all! End of rambling.

Okay but here are the things:

1. Imogen bought the ruby ring at that store saying "what if I were serious" or some such

2. Laudna is wearing the ring

3. Matt specifically said the store owners were looking at their fingers and had to have noticed the ring

4. Laudna and Ashton were giving off serious rocky (hehe) relationship vibes

All I am saying is those shop owners are probably convinced that the mysterious purple haired woman and the undead woman are having a torrid affair behind the back of the green rock man. They are shipping. They are arguing about who Laudna should be with. They are bringing this up to their friends to get more opinions. They are invested and hoping for more in this saga but are resigned to never knowing.

Drew these during my off time. Enjoy them because I’m sure af that I won’t be able to draw the same tattoos every single time.

Also, please for the love of everything don’t ask me “where’s character x?”

I love how Marisha categorically rejects the whole “What doesn’t kills you, makes you stronger” type of stories with her characters. I mean, she directly said that in talks, but is also nice to see how her work shows it.

For Keyleth, “What doesn’t kills you…” stays with you your whole life, in form of anxiety and self consciousness. Stays with you in form of mourning and the truth of watching you family go away in the thousand years+ that you’re going to live. You have to work through it, help those you can help, learn how your voice carries power, and learn what being a leader means.

For Beau, “What doesn’t kills you…” Fucks you up beyond belief. Distorts your value as a person and how you approach your relationship with the world. Damages how you treat yourself. You’ll have to re-learn, with the help of friends and those painfully new formed relationships, how to heal, and how to let people in. You forge yourself a new and shinny found family and start working in the true meaning of yourself.

For Laudna, “What doesn’t kills you…” well, it actually did kill you, but then it didn’t. It robbed you of years, it isolated you for decades. Your killer is now trapped inside your head, making you uneasy, haunted. But you wanted new friends and ways to help them, so in spite of all that, you go out, being unapologetically yourself, and offer that eagerness to the world. Facing some rejections sure, but not letting those bringing you down, you already went trough worse.

Her works will NEVER say “I’m better because x happened to me”.

Her works DO say loudly “I was dealt a bad thing, but in spite of that, i’ll do my best to move forward. Its going to be awkward, painful and hard. Its going to be messy and sometimes not only upwards. But i’m working through it with everything i have” and i love her for it.

laudna: while we were all reliving my traumatic memories, I could feel you there so I took some of your essences and put them into pate and now he’s alive and he reminds me of you and you remind me of him  😊😊😊

bells hells, witnessing the horrific rat monster who was unsettling even when he was dead but now has wings made out of ribs and actually speaks: uhhh… thanks?.. when.. when will he leave? oh, never? oh, that’s ..great. good for you… for both of you… for all of us…
