BUT WE ALSO KNOW THAT A SIGNIFICANT PART OF TUMBLR USERS ARE NOT NATIVE SPEAKERS

Here’s the deal: my first language is Italian. I know plenty of people on this website whose first language is Italian. Nevertheless, when we’re interacting with each other on Tumblr, we speak English.

I am not objecting to this system, it’s actually good practice for some people, to be able to speak a second language extensively.

BUT I HAVE A PROPOSITION FOR YOU.

Why not have a “Speak Your Own Language Day” where all of us exclusively speak in our native language?

(No but apart from the small rebellion from the US-centric and generally Anglophone-centric environment we got here, think about trying to speak to people from other countries via excessive use of Google Translate it’ll be a blast)

na tohle asi tak trochu dokážu odpovědět páč pracuju v národním filmovém archivu, který na ten kanál filmy poskytoval. Trochu jsme se nedohodli na kontraktu s jednou společností, kvůli které celý ten kanál zkrachoval. Nicméně NFA připravuje nový vlastní youtube kanál, na kterém předpokládám budeme dávat podobné věci (nejsem v týmu co to rozhoduje tak přesně nevím). Kanál by měl být spuštěn v nejbližších měsících tak se vyplatí nfa lehce sledovat abyste věděli až se objeví. A jinak všeobecně pokud pátráte po nějakém specifickém filmu/dokumentu z doby před revolucí tak s největší pravděpodobností je uložen v NFA a my k němu spravujeme práva. Jo a taky máme mail reserse@nfa.cz pro to když chcete udělat nějakou rešerši. Ať už jednodušše hledáte film, nebo chcete vědět jestli se někde v nějakým filmu neobjevila vaše vesnice nebo tak.
