Part 2 of this. @endlesslogo tagging you in case you wanna read part 2 of the story inspired by your art

Donnie stared down at his chiming phone. A number he didn’t recognise lit up the top. After the third ring, he turned off his phone and pocketed it. If it’s anything truly important, the caller could just leave a message. He turned back to his project and continued soldering.

The clock on his vambrace screen reads nearly 3am. He wonders if Leo had managed to go to sleep. He hasn’t come in to pester him all night long. Good. It’s always a good sign when Leo finally gets to sleep. Hopefully he’s getting a restful sleep and peaceful dreams.

Yet..something in the back of his mind is nagging at him.

The notification for a voicemail sounded in his pocket. Guess whoever was calling had something important to say. Likelihoods of what it could be played in his mind as he set down the solder and pulled out his phone again. He opened it and went into his voicemail. He tapped on the transcript.

Donnie. Donnie, please, come get me.

..huh?

I don’t know where I am or how I got here, but…

Donnie tapped the play button and put it on speaker. There was silence and some sort of static at first.

“Donnie.”

The soft shell’s blood ran cold. Leo? Donnie listened to the message that was transcribed, still as a statue. Leo sounded terrified. His voice shook and was hushed as though he were hiding from something.

“-or-or how I got here, but-“

A deep rumble that almost sounded like thunder emitted, pulling a gasp out of his brother. A pause that felt like an hour long stretched out. Then, a horrific scream. It chilled Donnie to the bone and made him want to hide deep inside a hole. Another scream joined in; Donnie realised with horror that it’s Leo screaming. A loud crash, and the voicemail cut out.

Ear-splitting silence settled. Donnie sat paralysed. He jolted and swiped at his vambrace. The trackers blipped on screen, and he immediately searched for Leo’s.

…wait, what?

His tracker is in his room. That’s not possible. Unless…

Donnie dashed out of his lab, leaping down stairs and hurdling over unpacked boxes. Leo’s room soon came into sight; he slid in front of the door and threw it open.

“Leo?!”

He quickly scanned the room. His eyes landed on the sleeping form of his twin. Confusion settled in his mind like sticky, melted marshmallow. What the fuck? Leo’s here? But the voicemail…

Annoyance bubbled. He stomped into Leo’s room.

“Nardo, if this is some kind of sick prank, I’m really not in the mood.” Donnie shook his allegedly sleeping brother. “Come on, dum-dum, I know you’re not actually asleep. What the hell was that voicemail?” He shook him harder. Annoyance built. “Nardo! Leo, wake up!” He still doesn’t stir. Donnie scoffed and pulled Leo onto his back. The slider’s eyes remain closed, his face slack. The elder pulled the younger’s eyelids apart. Donnie’s eyes widened. That’s…not normal.

The pupil in Leo’s eye had blown so wide he could hardly see the reddish iris. Donnie let go of the eyelids and opened the other eye. Same thing. This.. this cannot be good. He pulled out his phone, turned on the flashlight and shone it in Leo’s eye. It didn’t react. Oh, this is definitely not good. Donnie chewed on his lip as he tested Leo’s other eye, getting the same result. What to do, what to do.

Leo is alive, thankfully. He’ll have to check his vitals to be sure he’s truly alright, however. Donnie glanced at the time on his phone screen. Nearly 3:30am. Raph won’t be up for another 3 to 4 hours. Donnie took in a breath, cornered a resolve, and scooped Leo up from his bed. The soft shell trotted down to the med bay, his stomach twisting at how limp his brother is. He shouldered his way into the med bay and set Leo down on the bed. His heart pounded as he tested Leo’s vitals. With each one that passes, he feels a little better but at the same time worse.

Donnie slapped a wrist monitor on him and fell into a nearby chair. His vision zeroed in on the monitor until it was all he could see. Resting heart rate is normal. Rhythm is normal. He instinctively slipped his hand into his sweater pocket and pulled out his phone. He reopened the phone app; he stared at the number Leo called from. He tapped on it and brought it up to his ear.

“The number you have reached-“

It didn’t even ring.

Donnie hung up. He shoved his phone back into his pocket and stared hard at the wrist monitor. Leo’s stupid heart mockingly beat at its normal rhythm. Donnie’s pocket buzzed and burst out into song.

The soft shell yanked his phone out and stared at the unknown number on the screen. His heart pounded. His hands trembled. He hit the green button and held it to his ear.

“…hello?”

“Ohmigosh thank the spirits you picked up!” Leo’s unmistakable voice came through the speaker. “You got my voicemail, right??”

Donnie swallowed against the confusion and fear as he stared at his comatose twin in front of him.

“I did.”

“Great! So you guys are on your way, right?”

Donnie stared at his brother’s still form.

“Don? You guys are coming to get me, right?”

“Uh…”

“Donnie?” Panic edged Leo’s voice. Donnie took a breath.

“We…can’t find you.”

“…what?”

Donnie gnawed on the inside of his cheek.

“I mean, something’s up with your tracker. I can’t pinpoint your location.” Donnie’s leg bounced a hundred times a second. “Can you see any landmarks where you are?”

“Uhhhh.” Leo’s voice faded some as Donnie imagined him moving away from the phone to look. “Not really. It’s mostly trees, streetlights, and an empty road.”

“That’s not much to go off on...” Donnie muttered. His eyes flicked up, and his heart seized at the sight of his unconscious brother. Right, his actual brother is in front of him. But what about the one on the phone..?

He could try to trace the call, but what if it only points to the Leo in the med bed? Only one way to find out…

“Stay on the line, Leo, I’m going to try and trace this call.” Donnie pressed his phone between his head and shoulder as he typed on his vambrace.

“I ain’t going any-“ A distant rumbling sound cut him off. “Shit. On second thought, I gotta run. I’ll try to find another phone.” Click.

Donnie sat in silence. His fingers hovered over the vambrace screen. It blinked at him. His eyes stayed glued to the screen. His mind spun every which way in baffled attempts to explain. This…it’s not possible. He looked once more at his comatose brother. What have you gotten yourself into, Leo? On his vambrace, the screen continued blinking as a dot pinged over the med bay.

I WILL NEVER MAKE PLOTS FOR MY ART AGAIN(Not that I ever had them 🙄✋)BECAUSE PEOPLE START WRITING FANFICTION WHERE THERE WASN'T A PLOT, IT'S JUST THE BEST THINK YOU COULD DO😭🙏
First of all, I like that it is not just a horror, but something really interesting and I am very interested in what will happen next. Second, I couldn't help but make a quick sketch before this to support the author🫶

Sooo I was inspired by @endlesslogo ‘s artwork, and this popped out on to the page

Trigger warning for intense scenes and metaphorical body horror

Cold air stabbed into Leo’s aching lungs. His legs and feet hurt from the forest floor and underbrush slashing into his skin. He tasted iron in his mouth as he breathed heavily; his heart was about to burst. His body screamed for him to stop. He knows he can’t.

He lost his swords. Yeah, stupid, he knows, but given what’s chasing him he wouldn’t cause any damage.

Leo ducked under a low branch and vaulted over a fallen tree. The shrieks behind him had shrunk some, but he sure as hell ain’t stopping. He’s faster, but if he stopped they’d be upon him in seconds.

A small gasp escaped his lips. A light appeared up ahead. Civilisation. Finally. He’ll find a phone (yes, he lost that, too, sue him), call Donnie, and get the hell out of here. Leo pumped his legs faster. He burst out of the trees and onto sweet, sweet grass. He gave a quick look over where he’d just arrived. Streetlights on the left, a fence up ahead, and- his eyes catch sight of a lit phone booth. Thunder rumbled overhead as he darted toward the phone. Leo leapt over the fence, flew open the booth door and slammed it shut once in. His breath came ragged and heart pounded, muffling the howls and shrieks. Leo swallowed drily and fumbled over the phone. The tone rung in his ear. Wait, right, does he-? He rummaged a shaking hand in his pouch. Come on, come on.

“Aha!” Leo yanked out his wallet and flipped it open. He pressed the bottom of it to his side and opened the top. His hand trembled badly, making the wallet shake, as he searched it for a quarter. Pouring rain battered the booth as he desperately felt for the damn coin. The wallet bottom caved and slipped from his hold. “No no no no no no no!”

The coins spilled out in a musical clatter. The phone fell from his other hand as he dropped down to scoop up the coins.

A shriek sounded from behind him. His blood ran cold. Leo sat stock still, his chest heaving, listening to it get closer. The ground rumbled with the thunderstorm as the creatures drew closer. Leo’s blood pounded in his ears; he moved against the one non-glass wall, the coins forgotten. The rain pounded against the phone booth. The creatures drew closer. Leo’s breathing quickened. His vision swam.

The steps slowed. One set of them approached. Leo held his breath. Over the rain, he hears clicking sounds above him. It scraped against the roof of the booth, emitting an awful nails-against-chalkboard noise. Leo lifted his shaking hands and pressed them against his ears. The sound persistently ground into his head. His fingers and toes curled; his body tightened. Leo let out a small, pained whine.

His eye caught a shine in front of him. A quarter laid inches away from him. A new sense of determination washed over him, and his hand darted out to grab the coin. He twisted and reached up. It took a few tries before his trembling hand pushed the coin into the slot. Leo pushed in the numbers to Donnie’s phone. The scraping against the roof paused as he grabbed the phone. He pressed it hard against his ear.

It rung once.

Twice.

Three times.

“C’mon, Donnie, pick up, pick up,” Leo muttered.

“Greetings-“

Relief erupted in him. “Donnie!”

“-you’ve reached Donatello’s phone-“

Dread consumed the relief.

“-I can’t come to the phone right now because I’m doing more important things, but if you believe your call is just as important, which I doubt it is, please leave a message.” Beep.

Leo sat there with the phone pressed to his ear. His voice stuck to the back of his throat. He swallowed.

“Donnie,” he husked, “Donnie, please, come get me. I don’t know where I am or-or how I got here, but-“

The creature outside the phone booth let out a guttural rumble. Leo let a gasp that caught in his throat. Slowly, he turned his head. His wide eyes locked with white, sunken ones. The booth light glinted off the freak’s discoloured teeth from its big, spine-crawling grin. Its skin stretched like an ill-fitting mask of human skin. It opened its mouth.

Ș̖͍͙͉̮̦̈́̿͂ͮ̊͒̍ͧͧ̄ͣ̂̌̔̚̕͟͟͟͝K̷̨̜̱̦̗͈̥̯͖͓̭̠ͬ̔ͭ̈̏ͨ́̀̎̑̈́̏̽̋̓͛̓̉̂R̔̓ͩ͒̃̈́͌ͧ̑͏̵̷̨̭͕̦̦̙͓͝E̸̛̠̣̞͎̞̜̝̝̹̼͍̍ͨ͐͂̌͗̾̿́ͫ̎̌͂̊̊ͬͬE̶̷̲͇̯̠̼̖̗̥͚͓͈ͪͤ͒̂͗ͦ̑̈́̈̒̎̔̆͒͋̎͂͋͆ͅE̡ͮ̂̔̀ͯ̓́̂ͪ̒̽͑̕͡҉̺̠̼͎͕̯̤͔͕̻̗͈̫̹̰̤̭͟Ẽ̖̲̰̰̘̝͙̱̬͖̪̭̦̜͉̱͖̥ͨ́ͦ͋ͧ̏̆ͯͮ̽̀̕͘E̶͈̲͚̍ͤ̀͊̅̄̐͐ͦ̈́͌̋͌ͮ̌̄̐ͩ̿͠͝ͅE̷̜̯̰͙͎̜͈̩̫̱ͨ̀̿ͣͧͭ̔̉̕͜͞ͅͅE̢̛̤̬͍̥̝͎̠̜͍̗̼̼̠͉̮̰͋͒ͣ̿͂͋ͨͤͫͦ͘͜Ë́̈͋̂̊͛ͥ͏̧̡̛̟̦̯̦̻͚̗͍̣͎̳Ę̙̦͙̰͆͋ͥͤͨ͗̃͡Eͫ͌̊͒ͥ҉̪͇̮̖̤̭̺̤͍̳̹̘̖̗͢͜ͅA͕͍̗̤͖̫̤̗͍̘̜̰̘̗̟͈͚͋̅̾̽̈̎́́͡Ä̶̟̣̙͔͗̃͐͐̏ͬ̆̂ͯ̈̀͟͝Ǎ̒̒̾͛̐҉̧͞͏͏̬͈̭͚͉̯Ą̟̘̯͙̔ͫ̐́̄͑ͮ̓͋͒̊̈́͜Ā̢̡͈̲̙͙̪̇͛ͥ́̕Aͧ̎̈́̓̽̅ͦ̓͐̈̉̓ͣ҉̧҉͙͓̻̦̥̯̺͓͕̞̻̺̦̤̬̩ͅǍ̢̛̦͖̘͍̖̮͕͈̮̺̻̘͇̯̍ͬ̉͐̎͠A͛̄̏̏̃̉̀̚͟҉̞̹̰͕͚̖̭͚̥̣͚̜A͉͚̲͑͋͊̊͆ͣ̅͋ͬ͘͢͞A̶̸̙̟̥͇̤͙̬̫̼͈ͨ̈́̎ͨ̋͛̏̀A͖̪̣͚͚̯̘̬̞͇̻̮̣̼͕̝ͣ̅̇ͮ̔ͩͥ̑̃̍ͮͬ̆̿ͥ́͟ͅ

Leo’s hands flew up back to his ears. The phone dropped and banged against the booth wall. The monster continued its ear-splitting scream. Leo’s head strained against it, trying so hard to not split in half. The scream tore through his skin and pierced his bones. It curdled his blood and stabbed his eyes. Leo’s throat bled as he let out his own scream. Hot tears burned his face.

A big CRASH sounded above him. Glass sprayed in his face. Metal tore with a sickening groan. Leo snapped his head up to see the monster with one of its arms crossed over. It swung it up. Leo’s heart caught in his throat, and he leapt out of the booth. He rolled, sprang back on his feet and bolted, stumbling a bit before getting a solid foot on the ground.

Hide. He needs to hide. It’s the only option he has.

The freaks behind him shrieked and howled after him. His feet slapped against the wet ground. The pouring rain blew into his face. Leo squinted against it. Hide. Hide. He plunged back into the forest and swung around the fifth big tree he finds. He plastered himself against it. He clamped a hand over his mouth. He held his breath. His heart thudded in his chest.

The creatures burst into the forest, screaming and stomping through. Leo’s body shook harder the closer they got. Please please please don’t find me please don’t find me—

He flinched at the sound of a footstep right next to his hiding spot. He watched as the two kept on their destructive pursuit. He stayed there behind his tree. His body shook. The noise of them stomping through gradually moved farther away. Leo pulled his hand away and sucked in a few breaths; he turned out of his hiding spot and ran back out of the forest. Now to find another phone.

Me: man, I wish rottmnt fanfic writers would write in a cat sleeping next to Leo when he’s healing from his wounds after the movie :/

Also me: wait….I’m a rottmnt fic writer…..

————————————————————————————-

Leo did not want to be awake. Awake meant pain, it meant uncomfortable bandages, stiff joints and muscles. It meant a groggy mind from painkillers that should be saved for those who need them most. Yet here he is, pain dully throbbing almost everywhere on him, his eyes dry, body achy and stiff. Not to mention the chill that told him he’s definitely in the med bay. One thing, however, that he didn’t expect was a soft, hot patch snuggled between his left arm and side.

He cracked his eyes open and moved his head as much as he could, blinking a few times to register what’s there. A soft smile spread on his sore face. The unmistakable black and white came into focus, a little pink nose standing out from it. Leo lifted his right arm as best he could and stroked its head.

“Hey, Snuffy,” he cooed in a hoarse whisper.

Mr. Snuffles stirred and stretched his legs. He twisted a bit while leaning into Leo’s bandaged fingers. Leo huffed and flinched when his ribs protested.

“You keeping me from getting up, buddy?” A low rumble emitted from Snuffy’s body. He’ll take that as a yes. “Clever kitty.”

He gently pushed the cat’s head closer to him as he bent his head down to plant a smooch on his head. The purring grew louder. Snuffles tilted his head up, and Leo took advantage to scratch under his chin.

“You’re gonna get me in trouble,” he croaked. “I shouldn’t be moving this much.” Mr. Snuffles doesn’t care. He’s getting attention and that’s all that matters. Leo winced as his body protested the movements and kept petting him. “Worth it.”

Mr. Snuffles stood and arched his back. His body trembled from it.

“Big stretch,” Leo instinctually commented. Mr. Snuffles turned around and flopped onto his shoulder. He licked Leo’s cheek, his rough tongue scratching his skin. “Aww, thanks, bud. I love you, too.”

Snuffy dropped his head and snuggled into his neck. Leo smiled, gently dropping his own head onto the cat’s and closed his eyes. He breathed in a sore breath; he slowly let it out through his mouth while focusing on Mr. Snuffles’ purring. They stayed like that for a whole three seconds before Snuffles moved his head to lick his fur.

“Come on, man, you’re ruining my focus.” The feline, of course, did not care. He just went on cleaning himself. Leo chuckled; a cough shook his frame, and he turned his head away as more ripped out of him. Mr. Snuffles let out a concerned meow, stood and pressed his body against Leo’s head. His purring amped up some as he licked at Leo’s sweating head.

“Snuffy—“ Leo’s voice strained between coughs. “Gross!” He took in deep breaths as the coughing died down. His ribs hurt worse now. His body’s uncomfortably hot. Damn it…that’s the last thing he needs after waking up. A goddamn infection.

A wall of black and white fur obscured his vision and got in his mouth. Leo pulled his head back and spat out the fur.

“Snoofle, please, I’m trying to cough my lungs out.” The cat paid no mind as he settled himself on Leo’s chest. He loafed himself and closed his eyes. A gentle purr vibrated through Leo’s bandaged plastron. He rested a hand on Mr. Snuffles’ back and laid his head back against the pillow.

The Tale of the Pumpkin King

“Weeeeell now! It looks like you loose,” sneered the boogieman at his lowly subjects.

“P-please, Mr. Oogie, be merciful-”

“AAAaahaHAHAaaa!”

The three of them – a brash werewolf pup, a baggy-pants corpse, and fat, young vampire – were trembling before the knees of their bloated Boogie-King.

They tried not to look at each other. The last thing they needed was the disapproving glance of a ghoul more accepting of his grim fate, to remind them how big a failure they were.

“Are you serious?” The king grabbed the vampire boy by his collar and held him up for the town to see. Then he dropped him on the other two accomplices of this crime. The Boogie-King could hear the vampire’s brothers crying from the back of the crowd.

“How quaint! Care to join him boys? You know what they say: a family who sleighs together stays together! AAAhahahaahAHHHAA!”

did a doodle for @bossidiotart‘s idea of PLANT MAGIC QUIRIN!! it’s an adorable concept, i love it so much

@th3p0rtalmaker PORTAL!!! PORTAL!!! PORTAL!!!!

PORTAL!!!!

Look at this! This concept is awesome!!! And the pic is adorable!😍❤️

THIS EXPLAINS WHY QUIRIN LEFT KNIGHTHOOD FOR THE FARMER’S LIFE!!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Also Varian taking notes on his dad’s magic is so endearing and adorable 🥰 I’d love to have seen them bonding over it in canon! And honestly, if Quirin has plant-growing magic, he’s the kind of person the Dark Kingdom is gonna need for their rebuilding efforts 🤔

Varian: “Magic?! I DO NOT WORK WITH MAGIC!!!!” Varian’s Dad: “I can literally will plants out of the ground.”

Varian: That’s… That’s different! I’m pretty sure that can be expla- Quirin: *Instantaneously Summons Tree* Varian: … Quirin: … Varian: Still explainable… I’m sure.

Haha! But seriously,

THAT’S BRILLIANT!!!

WAIT WAIT WAIT!!! What if all Dark Kingdom people could use plant powers cus they were connected to the Great Tree?! And then after it was corrupted, they lost them?! And maybe they tried finding a new power source, and they found the Moonstone and everything went to heck?!

SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

🤩🤩🤩

I VERY MUCH LIKE WHERE THIS IS GOING 👀🍿👀🍿👀🍿👀🍿👀🍿

ME TOO!!!!! 🌟🤩✨🤩🤩🌟🤩🌟✨🌟🤩🌟🤩🤩🌟🤩🌟🤩🌟🤩🌟

TAKING NOTES!!! TAKING NOTES!!! TAKING NOTES!!!!!

Hello, I am the creator of this awesome au :)

And btw, the plant magic power is hereditary.

Which means Varian has it, too :)

Wonderful to meet you @bossidiotart ! This au is such a cool idea! And Varian inherited Quirin’s plant magic? 👀👀👀 Does that mean he’s taking notes so he can learn how to use/awaken his magic?

Indeed! In one version of the au, Varian finds out he has this magic after Quirin is freed from the amber, and the drawing is of him finally learning how to use it.

That’s so cool and wholesome!!! Varian and Quirin definitely deserved some bonding time after the amber, and I think learning about magic from his dad would probably help Varian learn not to be afraid of it or hate it after all the trouble it causes him.

Did you come up with details about how Quirin’ plant magic might be involved in the rest of the TTS universe? Like, was Quirin a farmer in the DK before it fell because of his magic? Did he secretly use it to create extra bountiful harvests in Old Corona?

Quirin used his powers to fight as a knight and only switched to farming when he moved to Corona. He gives the crops a nudge and keeps them as healthy as they can be

Some character studies to get better at drawing the Kraang from ROTTMNT, this one specifically being the second female Kraang, Sister!

@jthefruit, @bossidiotart, @peaches0015, and I created an AU where the Kraang raise the Turtles instead of Splinter in the Prison Dimension. The Turtles name change as well

the Main Kraang is known as Prime, the female Kraang is Sister, and the last Kraang is Brother in our AU. If you’re interested, please follow my friends and I as we continue to flesh things out, for now, please, enjoy!
