When I first approached her, I talked about an idea that I have had for ages, which is Maeve playing her flute while emerging from a pool of blood. Music is a big part of how she figures out who she is and who she wants to be and ultimately it is how she is able to fight for her freedom from Bhaal.
Lokorum had to idea to add the birds and when I saw the sketch I knew I had to see it finished.
