It’s scenes like this, like… little references to how Haurchefant does have these moments of just losing his cool that make me feel like Like he really isn’t the super sugary sweet oddball cinnamon roll he appears to be Like He most definitely is kind and sweet and the weird cinnamon roll to end all weird cinnamon rolls But I also get the sense he can become extremely emotional and even a little unhinged. Idk, man, I just would have loved to see Yandere!Haurchefant explored.
Like let’s really look at it though; he got so worried about the WoL that he was going to go after them and it took more than one or two knights to restrain him, like that’s how much Haurchefant lost his cool
And I think he puts on an air of cool around the WoL, puts his best foot forward (even though we do know he’s genuinely a good soul, none of it is insincere) but like… he’s prone to very positive flights of fancy and off the wall ramblings / displays of theatrics (Heavensturn?) now imagine that same person on the opposite end of the mood scale, like imagine that personality when pressed to anger or sadness or fear.
It gives me max. feels to imagine it – Haurchefant is the kind of guy that goes all out in every emotion he feels, for better or for worse.

Oh Dusk Mother, Nald’Thal, any of the Twelve and other deities, Please give me the patience not to toss this man over Ishgard’s beloved Witchdrop for sheer vexation he is causing me. Still she managed to listen with out porting him out to just past dragonhead, if only just. “I was just trying to help you, but clearly I was wrong again.” Why are people so Hard to talk to? “Gotta start somewhere, work from the bottom up and the like. And its not like I’ve never heard that before.”she bit her lip to keep from laughing bitterly at her self. It wasn’t so much what he was saying..but what wasn’t said. Only she doubted he even got a pat on the head.. “I...” she hated the title but she wished to honor his request... Help to her fullest and all. “I have not been...I...If I...am not versed well in politics but if you need,” the auri tugged at some of her hair, “If you request aid from the Eorzean alliance and they are...wishy washy about it..which isn’t new, “ she offered with a nervous laugh, “Please tell them the W-W...The Warrior of Light granted you a boon, and that she requests they aid you in what way they can. But you must be the one to request it...It is, not that I do not trust you if you send someone else! I do, I just It would be nice to see you again even in more dire circumstances. Friends can help each other right? And Warrior of Light has more...weight than that of Exorcist...Even if I consider myself more exorcist that warrior...” she offered weakly. Was this the right thing? She knew nothing of Ishgard’s problems...but He’d not outright murdered her after her blunder before so this would make up for it even if the dream catcher didn’t work...surely?
