My forever mood is Judge Aquilina tossing aside Larry Nassar’s letter like the actual trash that it is

You know she’s making direct eye contact too. She was so good to the victims in this case

I’d just like to say how absolutely insane this scandal.  Those victims are national treasures, like real life olympians, american heros, whatever.  How did no one on tumblr talk about this case until the judge proved herself to be good at her job.  

The gymnastics community (myself included) DID talk about this, but people didn’t pick up on this story until the biggest names started coming forward and talking about it

We’ve been talking since 2016 and no one else picked it up. We did our job, how about y’all?

“How did no one talk about this on tumblr” lmao as if we didn’t first see Larry’s Facebook retirement post in 2015 and immediately start questioning how weird it was that he was retiring a year before Rio after spending 20+ years with the team, as if we didn’t burst into rage when Jamie Dantzscher came forward a year later and NO ONE BELIEVED HER, as if we didn’t have to listen to victim shaming and people calling Jamie a slut and a liar until other people slowly started trickling in leading now to over 200 survivors (ALL heroes whether Olympians or not because MOST AREN’T OLYMPIANS, most were lower level club gymnasts in the Lansing community he was able to take advantage of by befriending their coaches and parents), and STILL people believed Nassar and we had to see him post photos of his autistic daughter on Facebook for sympathy, which he got as his thousands of supporters fundraised for him, which we watched and discussed AS IT WAS HAPPENING, which we screamed about into a VOID, which NO ONE CARED ABOUT until yesterday, as if we weren’t THRILLED when the FBI found child pornography on his computer which is not something most people would be thrilled about but in this case it was incredible because it actually led to his ridiculous obsessive “he’s such a good guy” fuckfaces realizing like, oh shit, yeah, Larry is kind of a predator, huh?? As if we didn’t want to burn down the ranch when we found out that a national team member and her coach, which turned out to be Maggie Nichols and Sarah Jantzi, came forward two months before Larry “retired” in 2015 and that USAG knew but didn’t do a goddamn thing and he got to keep practicing as a medical professional at MSU and in private practice abusing DOZENS of women and girls for A YEAR after USAG knew what he was doing. As if we didn’t watch all FORTY HOURS of victim impact statements this week and as if we didn’t start talking about Judge Aquilina’s amazing commitment to the victims when she first spoke to Kyle Stephens following her testimony. As if we didn’t follow every single step of the federal process, the Ingham County criminal proceedings, the Eaton County proceedings, the USA Gymnastics and USOC and MSU proceedings, and every little fact and detail SINCE THIS ALL STARTED. To echo @fuck-usag, we’ve BEEN TALKING ABOUT IT. FOR OVER TWO YEARS. Where have YOU been, @emogrinch? Sorry but like…don’t blame an entire community of people for not paying attention JUST BECAUSE YOU DIDN’T SEE IT.

Since we may never get to see this again; Chalk-ography by AJ Jackson. For those of you that don’t know it is now a .2 deduction for the use of chalk as a “prop”. AJ’s puff of chalk last was probably my favorite. It went with the music and was really unexpected when I first saw it. inspired by @sparklesandchalk‘s banner image 

Can I be ignorant and ask why it’s a .2 deduction? What’s the reasoning behind that?

it's actually a .2 deduction for "excessive chalk use" meaning they don't want to see handprints etc on the floor. there is no rule right now for chalk use on beam but we can only assume that's coming too

Thowback Thursday 1/∞ 

Janette Antolin probably had one of the best laided out Jeagers. She actually showed an open hip position (arch) rather than just a singular straight body like most girls do. She had such a dynamic swing too. Its a shame that she was from the “dark ages” of USA Gymnastics and never really got the appreciation she deserved. 

I actually don’t like how this looks at all? it looks so awkward and she can't keep her feet together
