Another speed write for Lietpol Week to juggle in my time. This combines day 3 and 4 (Life + Historical). It’s a very roughly history inspired fic.
“Lithuania has been living at Russia’s for a decade now and finally settling into his new life. Thankful, Russia had saved him from the horrors of outside, Lithuania works proudly for the nation who spared him. That is until a knock on the door shatters his reality. For the Lietpol Week 2020. Life + History.” WC: 2250~

Lithuania reached out a trembling hand and touched it to Poland’s cheek. It felt real, warm, and the tears wet his hand. He lifted Poland’s chin up so he could look him in the eyes. There was no doubt in his mind that this wasn’t Poland and he wiped a tear from Poland’s cheek.
“We’re so much more resilient in ways I never thought possible…” Poland smiled, “I guess that goes for both of us.” He took both his hands and squeezed Lithuania’s wrist, “We spent so long searching for you, I knew you were out there, I could feel it in my body.” Poland didn’t want to let go.
“We?” Lithuania took Poland’s hands off of his wrist with his free hand, “Who is we?” He wondered, maybe Poland had been able to convince Austria or someone once they found him alive again.
That was when Lithuania noticed the horse-drawn carriage in the yard before him, another figure sitting inside of it.
“France!” Poland exclaimed, “He totally came this way and he said he’ll help me, he’ll help us!” He continued, “He was able to get me some land, I guess, kind of… It’s like, under his control, right now, but once we defeat Russia and free everyone we’re gonna rebuild the Commonwealth and get back on our feet.”
I wanted to participate in lietpol week at least a little so here’s a picture. Feliks and his mighty steed.

FANDOM: Hetalia
PAIRING: Female Lithuania/Female Poland
RATED: Teen and Up (for some minor violence and blood)
WORD COUNT: 796
SUMMARY: 1863, immediately after the failed January Uprising. Based on the Jan Matejko painting, Polonia - Rok 1863 (1864).
Poland is roughly shoved into a room full of strangers. Lithuania stumbles in not too far behind. They are clothed in simple dresses that were forced upon them. Lithuania’s hair is unbraided, and she wears a white dress (as if she’s getting married, Poland realizes with horror) and Poland herself is dressed in black.
A fitting choice for what would be her funeral.

Summary:
poland is so very gone.
lithuania is so very alone.
(or: how not to cope at all.)
This year, LietPol Week has been mostly silly, and I didn’t draw a single kiss! But I had to have at least one “I love you” Even though it’s uh… Well, you know. He still means it!!!
Written for @lietpolweek Day 7: Historical

Poland couldn’t help but feel a little guilty about lazing around like that, but the sight was too stunning from there, and what a sight! The rows of vines following one another, the beautiful blue sky. The sweat on Lithuania’s back, making his shirt stick to his body in a way that made it so painfully hard to glance away from it. He was, probably, the only man wearing a shirt in the heat of August- and Poland knew why. He knew it too well, and since he had been questioned first, he decided to ask the same question back.
