when we try to befriend cats we mimic their meows and get down on the ground to their level and try to gently coax them to interact with us right

that horrifying entity mimicking human noises at us maybe just thinks we’re cool and wants to pet us?

had to draw it

a few people pointed out that they probably wouldn’t understand what they were saying and just mimicking whatever sounds they happen to hear so I wanted to add this

Need a new word for old blorbos that aren't really your blorbos anymore but you still feel fondness or them. The series ended or you fell out of the fandom, but your mutuals still put them on your dash sometimes and you go aw. he's still out there making it in the big city.

Blorbeens is the funniest response so far thank you. They been my blorbos

Wow wtf HIV/AIDS was discovered by Flossie Wong-Staal, an Chinese-American woman, and she’s the reason the HIV test even exists. AND THEN she invented the molecular knife that lead to treatments for HIV/AIDS. And she’s STILL ALIVE. We don’t hear about the contributions of Women of Color enough, my word. Madness.

Thank you, Flossie. 💜💜💜

she has since passed away (pneumonia during the height of covid in 2020) and I just want to say what a huge loss this is. she was still actively consulting with scientific research, and if you work in the sciences you know that people in the field keep working, advising, and providing their decades of insight up until their death. her knowledge was invaluable to us. and still she saved millions of lives.
