Frieza only grinned as Frost placed his hand on him, his own arm still wrapped around Frost’s shoulders. He let his touch lower, bringing his hand down to the other’s waist as well, his tail even wrapping itself affectionately (and possessively?) around Frost’s leg.
“My dear, what possesses you to think you’re unworthy of my affections?” Frieza asked with a chuckle. “You’ve proven to be a valuable asset to my organization, very quick on your feet and sly, and you’re absolutely gorgeous to boot. I dare say everyone in the universe should envy our beauty. You are infinitely more valuable than you seem to realize. Perhaps it’s time to start embracing that and seeing your own worth.”
... It was still a wonder how his facade had managed to bring him this far-- it was almost terrifying, in its own right. If Frieza were to discover the hilariously underwhelming truth behind Frost’s past, he wasn’t certain that the reaction would be very... Good. And yet... It seemed that Frieza’s pleasure in Frost’s ethic was endless, somehow, he was managing to do something right. All he had to do was keep it up, to cling to Frieza’s praise and affection-- now, that was all he wanted.
He would even go so far as to allow himself to smile, to take Frieza’s adoration in him as fact, and with this, Frost places his jaw upon Frieza’s shoulder, a small test of unfamiliar waters. There was no harm in this, he could pray. ❛ Guess I never looked at it like that before, ❜ he chuckles. ❛ ... Yeah, I guess I’m seeing it now. Of course, heh. I think you’ve opened my eyes just a bit, Frieza. ❜
"Tell me, do you have any siblings from your universe?"
❛ Siblings... I have a brother, yeah. But it’s not like we really have a family business, so it’s not like I know what he’s doing these days. He’s a bit older than me, so we’d split paths years ago, you know? ❜

“Oh, but I want to!” Frieza said sternly, insisting on giving a gift in return. He stepped forward, placing a hand gently on Frost’s shoulder, his tail swishing softly behind him. “If I’m being honest, I’m quite fond of you myself. How could I not be? A creature as gorgeous as you deserves affection, my dear.”
He began hovering into the air, wrapping an arm around Frost’s shoulders and bringing him up with him. “How about this? I’ll treat you to dinner. The finest establishment in the entire universe. Then we can enjoy a romantic fireworks display when it’s over.”
-- This was much more than he could have ever asked for, much more than he could have anticipated coming from Frieza, himself. Had he truly felt for Frost the same way he had for Frieza-- or-- or at least something similar? Sure, even some level of appreciation had at least been hoped for, but who else could say that Frieza had felt fondly of them? That Frieza was willing to be affectionate towards them? Certainly, Frost’s stroke of fortune was beginning to resurface.

Frieza’s eyes narrowed, a knowing smile spreading across his face. Ah, yes. The tyrant had heard of this particular holiday. Zarbon, in particular, always seemed to be showered with countless presents on that day. Was it that time of year already?
Of course, that holiday was for more than just ‘people you have a closeness towards’. Did Frost somehow have feelings for the tyrant?
“How utterly adorable of you, my dear,” Frieza said cheerfully. “I appreciate the gesture more than you know. You’ll have to forgive me – I didn’t get you anything for the occasion. Though I suppose there’s still time in the day to rectify that. I’d say you’re more than worthy to be my Valentine.”
❛ You don’t have to worry about getting me anything, ❜ he responds, clicking his ankles together as his arms place themselves behind his back. Adorable... That wasn’t a term ever expected to hear in reference to himself. Was it truly all that adorable...? To simply give a gift to another? He wasn’t certain, yet at the same time, warmth found itself burning in his chest at Frieza’s words, his heart skipping a beat or two.

-- To be told to come closer almost always guaranteed that he was going to be scolded, or told something that nobody else should dare to hear. With Frost, it had usually been the former, him having managed to screw something up, for another part of his history to have revealed itself to be falsified by claims that he hadn’t managed to clear-- it was all to easy for him to unintentionally enrage someone, and thus, he had practically accepted such as simply a fact of his life. Nobody in their right mind would ever be pleased-- much less impressed with who he truly was.
So naturally, it had been with caution that Frost approached Frieza, having thought himself to be prepared for anything that the emperor could throw at him.
Or so he had thought.
The last thing he could have ever expected was to have a pair of lips planted against his, and thus, his carapace lights in a deep shade of blue.
