chrisevans: I’m absolutely devastated. This is beyond heartbreaking. Chadwick was special. A true original. He was a deeply committed and constantly curious artist. Few performers have such power and versatility. He had so much amazing work still left to create. I’m endlessly grateful for our friendship. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Rest in power, King. 💙

“To one who has lived a life such as yours, I can well imagine how Elidibus’ existence might seem hollow—how empty his single-minded pursuit of a half-forgotten cause must appear. But know that his devotion is not without reason. Even if he himself can no longer remember what that reason is.”

I feel feelings

“Left my cat alone with a camera for 30 minutes and now I can never leave again.”

Can someone who knows explain why cats do this? Literally every cat I’ve ever owned and cats of multiple friends do this whole “carry a thing around and meow in a sad way” thing if left alone in the house (or if they so much as think they’re alone e.g. if the only person home is sleeping in another room or etc)

Not fully sure what sort of answer you’re looking for but it’s because they love you (in a specific cat way which may not be the same as a human way.

Cats are naturally a little neurotic and I’d guess shaky object permanence doesn’t help. The cat wants out the door! This is not what they wanted to be on the outside so we go back inside and try again. If door is always open they can check all they want, though. But when the human is out of sight and some doors are closed they can’t check on them so is the human GONE does that mean they DONT EXIST ANYMORE?

the little wa-ow they’re doing is a locator meow. They either want you to find them or for you to respond so they can find you. To stop the existential dread. Because housecats are secretly pack animals now, just not as blatantly as dogs are. They wanna know where their colony is, and if it’s just humans then they mawow because we respond best to vocals and sometimes hide behind walls and shit.

And they drag things around because they are dramatic idk my cat wanders the house crying after stealing my socks I think this part is just the cat version of a depression blanket

[GIF from the BBC Sherlock show. Sherlock has a red blanket over his shoulders, lifting it up to show a detective, saying “I’m in shock. Look, I’ve got a blanket!” end description]

13 years later, the 16-yo-gay-awakened Steve Rogers wrote this in his diary:

“When I had my first true love kiss, I didn't even know what I was doing. Now not a day goes by that I don't regret it. I'm gonna ask Bucky to give me another one tomorrow. ”
